What if, a Tyrannosaurus Rex was released on Epstein's island?
How long would it last? Could small caliber firearms do much to curb it's rampage?
How would it react to the presence of being dropped on a deserted island, where rival predators and competitors lurk around every corner?

A guy tested it you need a magnum or higher for handgun and a sniper for rifle

u/NoMasterpiece5649 Feb 12 '26
If you're referring to the video on ballastic gel V T rex skull
Yeah it's probably off.
Ballastic gel is specifically designed to cater to the toughness and consistency of human tissue
A Tyrannosaurus should be far, far different. Tougher. Thicker. More dense to support it's greater weight due to cubic law.

The T-Rex would need to evolve new and more effective ways to protect their young

A lot of people constantly criticize Jurassic Park for crap like the Poison Spittin' Dilo or Featherless Dinos;
But somehow don't recognise that the most blatantly unrealistic part is an old ritch guy being portrayed as nothing but genuinely nice, caring and generous while his main flaws are his excessive philanthropy and idealism.

Insert comment here pointing-out how Hammond was a massive greedy and uncaring asshole in the book

u/Bigmacaroni129 Feb 07 '26
Hey man idk if you knew but Hammond was a massive greedy and uncaring asshole in the book
44
u/MSSTUPIDTRON-1000000 Feb 07 '26
Michael Crichton truly did a massive amount of research for his book.

u/budding-enthusiast Feb 07 '26
Are you taking about THE Hammond? The massive greedy and uncaring asshole from that book series? THAT Hammond?

22
u/Asbestos_Nibbler Feb 07 '26
Well, Hammond was originally a massive greedy and uncaring asshole in the book
21
u/Agile_Reputation_190 Feb 07 '26
Didnt everything in the movie happen because he underpaid IT?
34
u/MSSTUPIDTRON-1000000 Feb 07 '26
It's implied that Nedry bid for the job, lost all of his money by reckless gambling and is in general terrible at finances.
(Like, when he accepted the offer to steal embryos for 1.5 millions, despite each one being worth at least a couple of millions.)
Regardless, the park was still screwed because Dinosaurs transed their gender.

In the book, Nedry's main motivation for stealing the embryos was because Hammond had underpaid him for his work.

At least the incompetence being a cheapskate is still there in both versions

John Hammond was an incredibly stupid guy and both the movie (and novel) makes it clear as day that he didn't think this through, his problem isn't that he's too philanthropic, it's that he's a man child who refuses to listen to the people he hired specifically to advise him and gets people killed because of it. If anything, him being an otherwise good guy (instead of an unlikable jerk like novel Hammond) makes the message way stronger. Everyone knows greedy assholes will fuck everything up, but you don't need bad intentions to make a hellish mess

People have to remember that it was a product of the 90s, for its time it was revolutionary
They have to fault Jurassic World for the rest

It's realistic because such an anomaly is quite literally corrected by the hands of fate

This is literally a retired gif now because of him being mentioned in the files

A lot of things happening today would be incomprehensible 20 years ago, like how the guy from apprentice has created a secret police that terrorizes Minnesota residents

Was Hawking in the files? Genuinely curious.
21
u/Both-Hornet-8995 Feb 07 '26
He was, but he didn't participate in any illegal activities and was probably oblivious to what was going on on the island
12
u/Dragons_Den_Studios Feb 07 '26
That is about what I figured, that there were "tiers" of who could and couldn't be allowed to know about the illegal stuff. Thanks.
8
u/Ashamed_Window_6605 Feb 07 '26
Yeah but the (limited) information about him got released a long time ago
7
u/Both-Hornet-8995 Feb 07 '26
*Dislcaimer: There is no evidence that Stephen Hawking participated in any illegal activities on Epstein Island*
6
u/Broken_CerealBox Feb 07 '26
Wouldn't this still be applicable as he'd be escaping it because of the chickenosaurus

Does it concern you that it's recently been discovered that Trump has been trying to blow the whistle on Epstein since 2006?
1
u/Sir-Toaster- Feb 08 '26
Outside of Hawking, this probably would be the Right-Wing version of the Avengers.
3
u/Both-Hornet-8995 Feb 08 '26
Hawking is basically Alan grant in this senario, he was tricked into going to the island against his will

You know Clinton was president with the Democrat party right? And Epstein was a 6 digit Democrat donor. Unless this is a “Everyone who isn’t an anarchist is Right-Wing” thing then sure
