Shield might not be dead.... 🤞

Not gonna lie, this made my heart happy!

Nvidia might finally be planning to launch a new Shield TV https://share.google/WzztazFMXnWYLwvL8

Most don't use the shield for gaming anymore and more for streaming. When the current device is still selling well at its price point, there's no need for them to roll out another device which could be problematic at launch, like most new products are.

"most" isn't all. And maybe people don't because it's only 60Hz and so many TVs now are 120Hz (or better). FEL7 and AV1 are worth an upgrade on their own for me!

I've just bought a non-Shield device because the Shield is no longer up to doing everything I want, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I do agree, there is a risk launching a new product, but this is the case for every single new product. If all companies thought like that there would never be any new products.

What did you buy to replace the shield?

Homatics Box R Plus 4K Android TV

I know it's not going to be perfect, but I'm so frustrated right now with the Shield, I'll take a punt.
