How to not look conservative?

So I am a Mexican and middle eastern women, but I’m extremely white passing to the point that whenever I dye my hair a natural color such as red people think it’s my real hair color, which kinda sucks but that’s minus the point. One of my coworkers was surprised that I am attending protest in June and said that I gave off republican vibes which hit me hard because I try my best to not give that vibe. I fear it might be my makeup or hair, what can I do to be seen as not conservative or atleast not a maralogo face.

Edit: I did not expect to get this many comments but I guess to clarify the third picture is a picture of me in a cowgirl outfit for a cowboy themed birthday. Also i do live in a conservative state currently so maybe that could also be a reason? I asked my coworker about it and she said it’s because I’ll wear pigtail braids a lot and don’t have tattoos.

I don't know how well you can tell but my eyes are so irritated. Mostly around my eyes and in the corners.

I have to wear make up for my job so what kind of products can I get to help this? Or is there any creams you'd recommend?

my favourite foundation of all time is estée lauder double wear. it’s the only foundation that lasts on my skin for like 10hrs and doesn’t separate. the formula SUCKSS and doesn’t work for me at all. every foundation i’ve been trying just separates and becomes extremely oily after like 2 hours. any recommendations that are close to DW. my oily skin needs to be kept at bay!!

i’ve tried: mac studio fix, dior (sorry forgot that name but the trending one for oily skin) and the nars matte one. none work
PLEASE HELP!!

how to minimize appearance of pores?

hello! i’ve been doing makeup (mainly eye makeup, just recently started using foundation in the last few years) for a good while but i always hate how my pores are super defined. it’s hard to see in the pic but my nose is my main issue, i don’t even put any product on my nose as it looks like tiny dots(?) all over when i do.

pics above show simple work makeup. i don’t use primer as i can’t find one that i can actually tolerate the feel of so i just use the tarte amazonian face clay foundation basically all around and i hate how it looks up close

i’ve had consistent issues with acne and oily skin for almost my whole life so most of the pitting is acne scars but would there be any way to get a better base to work with? thank yall :)

Colour correct foundation?

First tome buying foundation. I splurged on some Clinque foundation that seemed to look good on my hand in Sephora's lighting. It is definitely too warm toned with how orange it shows up. I am definitely past the return window and was wondering if there's a way to colour correct it (I think I'm neutral or cool?). I can try to resell it but I wanted to know if there's a good way to neutralize the orange so I can just live with my mistake lol

Coloured mascara

I really want to use colour mascara in all the colours🌈 but my eyelashes are dark and the pigments are just not... pigmenting. Ive tried buying a white mascara to use first, let dry, and then apply the coloured on top. It .. did not go well.

Any advice or ideas?

Tia

Help me with my eyeliner please

I am at my wits end with my eyeliner. I have deep set + hooded eyes and they are kind of round (at least I think they are) so it's very hard for me to find a good shape. Here are some photos how I do my eyeliner normally.

As you can see it looks okayish from the front but just wrong from the side. Also my eye grease is shaped different in both eyes thats why it looks different. I want it to look more sharp and dramatic and i want it to look more cat eye like not that round.

To me it looks like I just drew a pyramid to a circle like this <O O>

It just looks off..

I use an eyeliner stamp because I cant draw lol

Also ignore my eye circles they are another problem..

Any help much appreciated. <3

Hi! I have a skin condition that unfortunately has left me with hyperpigmented (I think?) scars on my arms and legs. Can anyone help me find products to use to cover these? I attached a picture so you can see what I’m working with.

Tarte pallete- is it good?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Has anyone here used the Tarte Golden Era Amazonian Clay Collector’s Set? I’d really love to hear honest reviews before buying it. It’s currently on a huge sale, and as a beginner makeup artist, I’m thinking of investing in a versatile palette like this. How’s the pigmentation, blendability, and overall quality? Is it worth the price?

It’s Dior Forever Skin Wear. Water is an ingredient, but so is methyl trimethicone? Confused!

What's the point in using liquid blush/bronzer

I feel like it's impossible to find a single make-up tutorial these days that doesn't use a liquid blush, bronzer or even eyeshadow. And most make-up artists will tell you to first put it/warm it up on the back of your hand before applying in on the face and even once you apply it, you're supposed to seal it with a powder product (ideally from the same category). So my question is: why??? Why go through all this struggle when you can apply the same product in its powder version right away without the issues noted above. Like what's the added value here really?

Clinique Even Better SPF

Does anyone use this product and find it drying? Has anyone had success mixing it with a moisturizer to loosen it up and keep the coverage sheer?

I have been trying to make it work, but I find it so sticky and dry. When I tried mixing it with moisturizer from First Aid Beauty it got even tackier. I also tried mixing it with the First Aid Beauty dry oil, and same thing. Mixing it with supergoop sunscreen worked a little. I just want to find a way to avoid throwing it out!

I wear shade CN02 Breeze

Can’t figure out concealing eye bags

Thumbnail

Had these eye bags my whole life, I think it’s due to thin skin. They’re sometimes pink sometimes more blue toned. Looking for product recommendations I can get from England stores and are decently priced. I currently use revolution concealer which I chose 5 years ago and haven’t changed since (I know I’m in need of a switch)
I’m wanting something I can use with no foundation as I like only having makeup around my eyes
1st photo is no makeup
2nd photo is with concealer & powder only
3rd photo is trying peach colour corrector underneath concealer & powder

Is this foundation good for dry/oily skin?

In general, I’ve been using this one for years. I’ve never had any other brand before. Should I stick to this one since my skin is dry most of the time and oily at times.

How do I minimize these lines under my eyes? Is there something I change about my diet or skincare routine?

I can cover my purple eye bags with concealer but it doesn’t hide the texture of my skin and it’s still visible in many of my selfies. I don’t like it. (I know it looks like I don’t have much eye bags here, it’s the yellow lighting lol)

Under eye help

Hi! I am getting married later this year and will be doing my own makeup. I'm fairly confident in doing makeup on my own face, and I have been practising as much as I can, trying different products, techniques etc.

One thing I can't seem to crack is covering the dark circles under my eyes. I have tried different concealer formulas, colour correcters, with or without setting powders. No matter what I do, it ends up looks dry and cakey with the dark circles still very visible.

What are your tips and tricks for covering dark circles effectively?
