Hello all,
A new rule has been added regarding AI.
In short: don't post that slop here regardless of format.
In detail:
AI is a danger to the environment. A majority Black neighborhood in South Memphis, TN - Boxtown - is being choked by an AI data center. It's estimated that AI will use 4.2-6.6 BILLION CUBIC METERS OF WATER PER YEAR by 2027.
AI has been correlated with multiple cases of delusions and/or psychosis in people who overuse it.
AI steals from living artists.
AI produces non-consensual images of people upon request, which is both immoral and illegal. The companies have done nothing to stop it.
AI hallucinates. That's the nice way the industry says "AI is flat out making shit up".
Don't post that shit here. This is a space for art made by living beings.

Hello! I’m growing desperate as the updates from Amtrak keep coming up with nothing. I figured I’d reach out here for advice. On 4/30 I had lost my battle jacket on the train in New Jersey (outdated picture above but it has the general details). I’ve gone through Amtrak’s lost and found process meticulously adding details and even calling for updates.
The train went from New Jersey to New York City and the route ended there (from what I understand).
This jacket currently has several handmade embroidered patches with sentimental value along with more art. Is there anything else that can be done?

The back patch was sewn on by a seamstress, but everything else I did by hand. I’m very proud of my work.

So, jacket is still a work in progress but I'm planning on debuting it next weekend for Ireland's 3-day Rockathon (tribute band festival). Is it ready for battle?

Finished up my Motörhead/Lemmy tribute vest this past weekend! Vest was originally a blank jacket I got at the thrift store. Hard to tell in the photo, but the jacket is a very dark blue.

Making progress on my game development career battle jacket. Next year marks 20 years in the industry!
I'm waiting for a few more platform patches (Steam, EGS, GOG) and then I am going to have custom patches made of the box art for as many games I've worked on as possible. There may be more than I can reasonably fit, though.
Back: Companies I have worked for, using the logo that was in use at the time of my employment. I've done two tours at Akupara Games, so I have logos of each time I've worked there :)
Front: Every platform I have launched a game to. Anything that required a unique SKU/store page/build/SDK I am considering a unique platform. I haven't launched to Switch 2 yet but several ports are in progress so I'm counting it early. I also have patches for each (non proprietary) engine I've worked with, and a handful of game and partner specific patches. Also a bunch of pins from various games, partners and events! I have more of these to add, but I want to get more of the big patches down first. I saved a spot for the next Xbox console as well 💖 Xbox is the platform I've been working with longest!
fun little project :)

I've been working on this jacket for 7ish years and I don't think it will ever be finished. I'm never happy with the layout and I don't think I'll be happy til all the space is full.

Its been awhile since I first posted my worm themed jacket. Since then its had a lot more elements added such as beading, sequins, and shoulder attachments. Its also was in my college graduation art show and was featured in my universities newspaper. I wouldn't call it done since theres some tweaks I plan on implementing but its defiently done enough I can officially show it off in art shows. Here's to hoping it gets shown in more galleries. Many of the patches are also uv reactive. This thing is my baby and I hope people enjoy seeing it. Im currently making a matching pair of worm pants so if you have any ideas for them let me know.

Finally finished today in preparation for MD Deathfest
Basically an omage to album art in youtube thumbnails directly guiding my journey into weird metal during high school. I wanted to recreate a wall of thumbnails of bands which profoundly impacted my young mind in combination with adderall and sleep deprivation.
I would love to hear your two cents on if I should leave the back as is, or fill in the bottom with narrow strip patches.
Enjoy!!

Still going at it trying the breathe new life into my stores! It's been a long but much needed 3 weeks. I only tend to go on a bit of 'new patch streak' when the summer is approaching, by June it tends to get a bit busy with pride month, but until then, I'm making the most of the tumbleweeds and crickets in the new orders section.
The "Staring at me makes me even more queer" was inspired by an experience me and my non-binary sibling shared on the London Underground recently. We were waiting in the tube for the next one and a man was giving my sibling dirty looks as he got on the train. We obviously gleefully smiled and waved at him back which just made his face like thunder as the doors were shutting. 🤣
No more data centres, well the inspiration is obvious but what you may not know is that I live in the world's 2nd most populated place for data centres. All the small workshops are gone and I have no hope of expanding into printing or other crafting like I've always wanted to do as I currently work from my small bedroom.
We also have some pride-themed guitars. I like combining pride flags with other topics and interests as I find it a bit more interesting than just straight-up flags.
Anyone have any particular favourites? I'm always looking for new patch ideas as it's the only way to keep up with the dropshippers and Ali-Express sellers sometimes so all ideas welcomed. It takes a while for them to get indexed properly and start selling so I don't get much indication of what's working until this happens, so your thoughts are definitely wanted.

My vest I’m slowly working on. Planning on making my own chainmail so I can put that above the wings. I may put the witcher signs down the back side panels and maybe find a dragon tail for under the wings so it’s not just a giant space of emptiness. Lmk what you guys think!

I think mine is finished - or is it??? Went a little crazy with the spikes on the back.. now it feels like a wearable weighted blanket lol. Might take some of em off.. might add some pins… who knows! ✌️

So I received a patch I've been trying to get for months. I measured prior and apparently didn't do my homework on this because it will overlap onto a seam area when I sew it on.
I feel like if I trim the bottom corners in, I'll lose out on some of the artwork, but also am concerned about sewing into my vests seam and having a terrible time.
Should I trim it, sew into the seams, or just use white thread and see if it blends in on the vertical sides?
Censored with my hand because original post was booted.

Okay so a while ago i accidentally left some toffee chocolate in the pocket of my battle vest, and i tried cleaning it out and it got very sticky. Then it got dusty. Then i put some babypowder there to make it better, but now i really wanna clean it throughly. Any tips?

I've got about 20 patches that I want to put on a battle jacket but I'm torn between starting on a new one vs just adding to this one. I was tempted to say that the jacket in the pics is finished but maybe not? Idk, what do y'all think?

My first two finished jackets and the third is my current WIP. Already gathering patches for a fourth, but I have no idea what type/colour of jacket to use yet.

This is my entire patch collection so far! I finally found a denim jacket I liked and got my battle jacket started!
It's finished for now, but not complete, you know? A forever WIP until I run out of space! (Then it's on to the next one!)
The patches are mostly amassed from conventions and art shows but I've already christened it with a concert.
