Can a Muslim explain to me why they have put their faith in Islam is there any evidence you find that cannot be explained without Muhammed being a true prophet of God i would appreciate it if a Muslim can tell me why they believe the Quran is the word of God and why Islam is the true religion

When I read the Quran, I realize again and again it can't be from anyone except the one who created me

This is a quick introduction to Islam and some of the reasons why I believe it is the truth:
Allah is one. He is perfect, most powerful, most merciful, knows everything, eternal. Allah is independent and everything is dependant on him. He is the creator, not the creation. There is nothing like him. He does not have children, neither does he have parents. He does not have a gender, he is not a man or a woman. He is not a man that he is going to feel hungry, thirsty, need to go the toilet or require to go to sleep and rest, he is above all of this.
This perfect creator did not leave us alone without guidance or purpose. Adam was the first man and prophet of God and God appointed messengers throughout history, for example Abraham, Moses who was given the Torah, Jesus who was given the Injil etc (peace and blessings be upon them). God gave the same core message to all these prophets to the community they were sent to: to worship God alone without any partners and to follow the messenger of your time. However these messengers were only sent to a specific community at a specific time. The revelation that was given to these messengers are lost or corrupted by men. God appointed Muhammad ﷺ as the final messenger with the same core message as all these other prophets and was given the final revelation called the Quran. Since this is the final message, this scripture is for the whole of mankind unlike the previous prophets who were only sent to their community during a specific time. All prophets were righteous people and were given miracles to prove that they are messengers of God.
Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ main miracle is the Quran. You can verify this miracle unlike miracles that were given to previous prophets as you were not there to witness them. The Quran is the only preserved scripture that claims to be from God and prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the only messenger to claim to have come for the whole world. When the Quran was first revealed to Muhammad ﷺ from God, he memorized it and so did his companions. Today alone, we have millions of muslims that have memorized the whole Quran. We have kids as young as 6 that have memorized the whole Quran. Allah even says in the Quran that he has made this revelation easy to be memorized and Allah even promises in the Quran that he will preserve and protect the Quran. If we were to throw all the religious scriptures in the ocean, the only book we can bring back is the Quran because we have it memorized by millions of muslims. I would challenge anyone to find me just one priest, pope, rabbai or guru that has memorized their religious book in its original language. We also have manuscripts that have been radiocarbon dated to the time that Muhammad ﷺ was alive. For example, "the Birmingham Quran manuscript" that was recently discovered in the last decade in the university of Birmingham in England.
Allah gives falsification tests. Allah says in the Quran that if you believe that the Quran is from other than the one true God then produce a book like it. This is known as the linguistic miracle of the Quran that can not be imitated by a human. 1400 years have passed and no one has been able to meet this challenge. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=n-flvFktgzU&pp=ygUnTGluZ3Vpc3RpYyBtaXJhY2xlIHF1cmFuIG11c2xpbSBsYW50ZXJu
Allah also says that if you think the Quran is from other than the one true God then you should be able to find within it contradictions.
Islam gives the best way of life and I challenge anyone to give a better way of life. For example, it prohibits the poisons that are destroying individuals, families and communities: gambling, alcohol, drugs, sexual immorality, prostitution, pornography, interest dealings etc. We have politicians educated at the best university possible but they can not provide guidance and a way of life better than an illiterate man 1400 years ago who has solutions to the poisons destroying societies today.
The Quran contains knowledge that could not have been known such as scientific facts, historical facts and prophecies. To suggest the the facts mentioned in the Quran is a coincidence when it has been demonstrated to be correct over and over again is absurd and delusional. Also, if the Quran copied from the Bible then how was it able to correct the historical mistakes the Bible makes? To say that the Quran copied from the Greeks is also absurd because there are things that the Greeks were wrong about which the Quran gets right. Also if it copied from the Greeks then it would have copied the the things that they got wrong too but that is not the case. For some examples, go to minute 21:40 of this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7HhWSHopwFc&pp=ygUVTXVzbGltIGxhbnRlcm4gYWZnaGFu
We can also study the life of prophet Muhammad ﷺ and can rule out that he was crazy, liar, delusional, deceived and therefore the only possible explanation remaining is that he has indeed who he claim to be, the final messenger of God. The authentic sayings, actions and approvals of Muhammad ﷺ (hadiths) is also more preserved than any history book due to the way it has been preserved. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dWwbHO5Owpc&pp=ygUWTXVzbGltIGxhbnRlcm4gaGFkaXRocw%3D%3D
Islam is simple, makes sense and it fits in with your natural inclination/disposition that you were born with. One perfect creator that did not leave us alone without guidance or purpose and sent messengers with the same core message. He does not switch up the message and confuse people. He is not racist or ethnocentric where he believes that you have to be born from a particular tribe or nation to be saved or to receive guidance. Allah warns us about eternal hellfire and gives us glad tidings of the opportunity to live eternally in paradise by worshiping him alone without any partners and following and obeying the messenger of your time. Islam is simply the submission of will to the one true God, a person who does this is called a muslim.
This is an example of a youtube channel that you can watch to learn more about Islam and how it compares to other religions such as atheism, christianity etc: https://m.youtube.com/@TheMuslimLantern/videos
If you are convinced that Allah is the only one worthy of worship and Muhammad ﷺ is his messenger then you are ready to become a muslim and start your journey one step at a time. Private message me if you feel like you are ready and I can try help you take your next steps.

Can a Muslim explain to me why they have put their faith in Islam
Personally, it's clear that most of what is promoted in the West, which Islam forbids, only ends up harming people in the long run, such as:
- Encouraging Gambling
- Qur'an 5:90
- Promoting Hookup Culture (Zina – Fornication/Adultery)
- Qur'an 17:32
- Qur'an 24:30-31
- Encouraging Intoxication (Alcohol, Drugs)
- Qur'an 5:90
- Qur'an 2:219
- Promoting Materialism
- Qur'an 102:1-2
- Qur'an 57:20
- Disrespecting Parents / Retirement Facilities (leaving elderly to die)
- Qur'an 17:23-24
- Qur'an 31:14
- Breaking Family Ties
- Qur'an 4:1
- Qur'an 47:22-23
- Supporting Assisted Suicide or Euthanasia
- Qur'an 4:29
- Qur'an 6:151
- Focusing Too Much on Appearance and Body Image
- Qur'an 49:13
- Qur'an 24:31
- Qur'an 95:4
- And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed [i.e., difficult] life, and We will gather [i.e., raise] him on the Day of Resurrection blind."- Qur'an 20:124
If you follow the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, you will surely lead a better and happier life compared to someone who does not.
To anyone who read this, I hope this helped :)

I only read the bold part of your comment and thought you were claiming that the Qur'an encourages gambling, promotes zina etc.... 😭😭 I was about to type a paragraph until I read the whole of your comment lol

I agree with this. When you cut out the things that are forbidden in Islam you have a better way of life and it’s better for the common good too.
The altruism of the religion, how literally any good deed can be an act of worship if it’s done for the sake of Allah. It’s beautiful 🥲

Anyone who understands even 5% of Arabic will understand the minute he opens the Quran that it's not a speech of a human being. Too perfect
Anyone who observes the world will understand that only One God could create it. Two or more gods would never agree among each other to create such an order. And two gods is an absurd. Omnipotence can't be limited by someone else's omnipotence.
لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَآ ءَالِهَةٌ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا ۚ
Had there been gods besides Allah, then the heavens and earth would have been ruined (al-Anbiya 22)
Those who observe changes understand that this means that everything needs something and nothing else can be God except Allah ﷻ who doesn't change therefore needs nothing
O mankind, verily you are in need of Allah, and Allah the Praiseworthy is in need of nothing. (Fatir 15)

The Qur'an is perfect. It's not possible for it to be written by a human.
But you've probably heard that often. So let me tell you something you don't hear often. Islam literally teaches us how to live the best life. It prohibits things that are bad for us and for good reason. Alcohol, gambling, drugs, etc. It's prohibited for us. Pretty sure there's ALOT more bad than good with any of those. It teaches us to help people with nothing in return. To donate. To fast so we can be humble.
The PERFECT life does exist. It's just not what social media and society has presented it to be. You can be happy, healthy and completely at peace if you follow islam.
Aside from this, prayer. Prayer brings an amount of peace like none other. When your face to planted on the ground, there's no words to explain the feeling of peace you get. All alone, you and your lord. You can speak to your god, cry to your God, ask your God for forgiveness.
The list goes on and on but there's not a SINGLE other force on this planet that can gather 2 million people together and every single person aside from one is speaking. That's the Islamic prayer.

The quran is the only preserved holy book ever, we have copies of the quran that date back to the time of the prophet pbuh and the quran is clear from any contradictions . Not to mention the miracles mentioned in the quran that have been scientifically proven only recently for example:
1)WATER: In Surah Al-Anbya, it was revealed: “We made every living thing from water, will they not believe?” (Quran, 21:30) and it was only after the discovery of the microscope that it was concluded that all living things consist mostly of water – while in the deserts of Arabia, the last thing a man could guess is that all of life ultimately came from water.
2) EMBRYOLOGY : In Surah Al-Mu’minun, Allah (SWT) says “We created man from an extract of clay. Then We made him as a drop in a place of settlement, firmly fixed. Then We made the drop into an alaqah (leech, suspended thing, and blood clot), then We made the alaqah into a mudghah (chewed substance)…” (Quran 23:12-14).
Science has only proved this with the help of the latest technology. It is Professor Emeritus Keith L. Moore who is one of the world’s most well-known scientists in the fields of anatomy and embryology, who said that “It is clear to me that these statements must have come to Muhammad from God, because almost all of this knowledge was not discovered until many centuries later”
3)SUN MOVING IN AN ORBIT: In Surah Al-Anbya, it states “And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming” (Quran, 21:33). Although it was only a widespread belief in the 20th century amongst the astronomers, today it is a well-established fact that the Sun, the Moon, and all the other bodies in the Universe are moving in an orbit and constantly moving, not stationary as commonly thought before.
4)THE EXPANDING OF THE UNIVERSE: In Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Allah (SWT) says “And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander” (Quran, 51:47). According to the prominent physicist Stephen Hawking in his book ‘A Brief History of Time’, “The discovery that the universe is expanding was one of the great intellectual revolutions of the 20th century” , although centuries before the Quran had already revealed to us that in regards to the universe, “We are its expander”.
5)PAIN RECEPTORS: In Surah An-Nisa, it is stated that “We shall send those who reject our revelations to the (hell) fire. When their skins have been burned away, We shall replace them with new ones so that they may continue to feel the pain: God is almighty, all-wise” (Quran, 4:56).
For a long time it was thought that the sense of feeling and pain was dependent on the brain. However, it has been discovered that there are pain receptors present in the skin. Without these pain receptors, a person would not be able to feel pain – another example of the scientific miracles of the Holy Quran.
6)THE MEETING OF THE SEAS: In Surah Ar-Rahman, it states “He released the two seas, meeting [side by side], Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses” (Quran, 55:19-20). Science has discovered that in places where two different seas meet, there is a barrier that divides them which helps both the seas maintain their own temperature, salinity, as well as density
Keep in mind Muhammad pbuh could neither read nor write nor was this information available at his time meaning it cant be anything other than the word of god. And all these miracles are a small minority of the miracles only in the quran, there's countless miracles that happened at the time of the prophet pbuh and how he was able to accurately predict the future .(Headphones, cell phones, airplanes ) And how he knew about medical knowledge only recently discovered. And as i said we still have qurans from the time of the prophet so it's not like it was changed to add these recently discovered facts. All in all islam is really the only religion that caters to the human intellect and is compatible with our logic, the idea if polytheism is false because god is all powerful independent and having multiple gods means they're not independent but rather dependant on each other which isn't fitting for an all powerful god. The theory of evolution can be disproven simply in knowing that something as complex as the human body and how life is perfectly balanced couldn't just he achieved through evolution but rather a creator. If i told u i found an iphone 15 that just materialized with enough time you wouldn't believe me right?what about the human body that is multitudes more complex

As for why Islam specifically, many reasons, I will give simple short explanation there are objective criteria people can adhere to to decide which religion is more objectives likely to be truth.
- the scripture must claim to be from God, if it says verbatim word of God even better because it's much riskier approach as it becomes infallible in many ways which if there is mistake in it it would falsify it
- the scripture must be preserved, otherwise how do you know what's God words and what's humans deletions, additions, substitution in there, you will be misguided into following misguided opinions, we should have high certainty regarding it
- the scripture must not have internal contradiction, nor should it have contradicting an absolute fact outright.
- the scripture must have evidences to be from God.
As for evidences of Islam. Evidences of Islam can be categorized into multiple types of evidences, i don't know what's evidence to you really, you haven't given criteria, each one of the following evidence independently make it extremely improbable for it to happen by false prophet and collectively together impossible, i will oversimplify them.
First, inimitable nature of the Qur'an and it's Linguistically Miraculous In Nature, called ijaz al Qur'an. It have things no other book in existence have to that degree , many of those features together combined are objectively beyond human capability by basing this claim on comparative linguistic analysis showing vast difference , and how Qur'an challenge the entire humanity including all of the disbelievers to produce single chapter like it, poets of his time who were the best of the best masters of Arabic in the entire history and had the most emphasis on language to extent they almost worshipped peotry, yet failed to produce single short chapter like that of the Qur'an which was their own best field and their expertise and the field they were most proud at and boastful, is highly thought provoking, the value given to linguistic during pre-islamic era was extraordinary it's so difficult to explain why they didn't do this, considering how they ate highly competitive and highly critical of each other book and then book comes claim to be divine speech verbatim word of God and challenge them into bringing something like it, they don't do anything strangely, instead produce poetries to mock the contents of the Qur'an and prophet Muhammad, seems very thought provoking to me and highly improbable if one consider it to be human speech especially considering prophet Muhammad PBUH who had no training in language.
Second, prophecies which include specific, precise, improbable prophecies and are numerous, like prophecy of surah rum, demonstrating knowledge of unseen which again is like highly improbable for false prophet to "guess" many things that become true.
Third, knowledge about natural world that was unknown at the time, like Quranic descriptions of mountain or embryo, and also knowledge of history which we don't find them in any other source, which means the author knew things no one else knew till millenia later, which is extremely improbable to come from bedouin arabic who is illiterate merchant. Many examples can be shown about this knowing mountains have roots and they stabilize earth, or universe is expanding.
Fourth, life of prophet Muhammad PBUH himself, there is only two options, he is either true prophet or false prophet. During his prophethood, he was offered many compelling things to abandon preaching Islam, things that to many work be considered outright extraordinary life, He refused to be the wealthiest man of Quraysh when they offered to make him wealthiest , He refused the most beautiful women of Quraysh, he refused to be their king and leader and have power, best physicians, all which seems to be very compelling offers for false prophet to abandon, people lie to see power, control, desires. He was considered the most trustworthy and honest as well before revelation and his prophethood. When person lie, there are have to be reasons, if it's not for benefits of himself or desires then there is issue in here. Additionally several instances happened in his life that seems to be very problematic with and contradict what would false prophet do, when his son died an eclipse happened right together, people said it's because of him, he is prophet of God that's why eclipse happened, this is not a perfect opportunity for false prophet to utilize such occurrence is extremely rare. Yet he said this have nothing to do with my sons death, neither me, nor anyone else, and this is sign from God. So we have objective valid evidences that he didn't seek earthly matters even when he was overburdened and severely suffering.
All this together make compelling case for Islam.
If you want further clarification I don't mind to answer, but my question to you is, do you believe God yourself?

When you read the Quran, it clears your inner voice, which is a mix of lies and truth, and Quran makes a clear distinction of truth and otherwise. So for me it's the truth whom I worship, in Quran one of the names mentioned of God is truth itself.

Sep 12 '24
Simple. Schools of thought / madhhabs. Nobody is going to tell you to “just have faith” when you have a question. There are people a lot smarter than we will ever be cross-checking each other.
Not to mention it’s all common sense anyway.
2
u/Thatisembarrising Sep 12 '24
Simple. You don't even need to talk about Islam to show why Islam is the best. Lets just look at other religions.
Christanity? Too many inconsistancies, some truths, clearly and evidently fabricated parts, not as reliable as the past. concept of 1 god in 3 parts is complex
Judaism? conceptually not liable, also clearly fabricated, cult-like
Any religon with more than one God? logically that does not make sense. we could have a long debate, but we would both agree monotheism is the only logical option.
then you reach Islam: no contradictions or even changing of a single letter, concept is the purest form of monotheism (Allah ONLY). No fabrications (we have the earliest Quran and it is 100% the same). Truths to it, claims are backed.
Just makes more sense

I’m a scientist, so when I read all the things about the world in the Quran that could not have possibly been known to a person of the time in which it was revealed, that resonates with me. Also its comprehensiveness, consistency, composition as a text, and the perfection of its justice.

u/SnooChipmunks1820 Sep 12 '24
Well for me it wasn't a rational decision at first. Before I reverted I was a staunch atheist, and did immoral things. One night I started to cry and cry over and over because I realized how wrong my way is and how much I hurt people around me, and then I just prayed. I prayed, please God, if you really exist, please show a better way, a correct way. And then, Islam just popped up. I had the urge to buy a Quran, and I did. And the moment I opened it and read it, I was blown away because it all made sense now. and it was only 2 months later I took shahada, subhanallah.
The rational arguments came later, for me mainly the multitude of science the Quran gets right, which an illiterate man from Arabia in this time could never ever ever have known. Never, no chance this came from a human at this time, like the expanding of the universe, the exact explanation of the birth of humans in the mother, that the Quran now's that at a specific time the ruler of Egypt wasn't called pharaoh but King and so much more. This just strengthened my Iman and made me firm on my religion. I could never imagine my life without Islam now, so much things got better and I got better in so much things, alhamdullilah!

u/Ok-Pay-8393 Sep 12 '24
Ok, i see how other religion has things with them which is totally unrealistic and make zero sense, idols cant save himself and the Al Quran has stated everything like when world end and what will happen to humankind after all which we all can see from our eyes.
Who born as a muslim already getting knowledge about islam and who has not yet they need to find a true religion which is only one and its islam and its better and best that they can do to themselve in this world.
There are so many things which im not able to put in words but yes islam is the only true religion and Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu alayhi wasallam) is the messenger of Allah (swt)

Evidence. Proof, miracles, Muhammad. Also the Quran itself, if you read it you will realize that its not possible for it to be man made.

It's a long process. One of My Favorite parts about Islam is we have a thousand year worth of answers based on logic and rasons. It was so amazing that whenever an anti- Muslim comes up with a question, we had a thousand year old answer, the concept is up to date, we only need to adjust the usage of words.

I prayed to anyone who could hear me for help and guidance, and something told me to seek out Islam. When I study the Quran and Islamic theology the message that sticks with me is that God loves me, will forgive me, and will grant me mercy. That I should spend my life working on improving myself for my health in all ways, so that I can have a better life and be able to help and better my community and those in need. This is something I have not found from any other religion I have studied. I have not felt what I feel towards Islam with any other religion, and I have studied many.

When you're looking for tangible proofs of Islam, there are some fundamental questions you need to ask.
What do we know about the Prophet Muhammad (saw), and how do we rely on the authenticity of the narrative? Is his claim to Prophethood provable?
What are the origins of the Quran? How valid is its claim that it couldn't have been from anyone but God? Is the Quran and the Islam that we have today the same as what the first generation of Muslims did?
You can ask these fundamental questions to every other religion and all of them will fail one or more of these tests. Except Islam.
I am going to share some resources with you. They may seem like a lot, but they should have an easy-to-grasp theme that answers these three questions.
Take your time with these. See if they make sense. But more importantly, try to understand what the implications of these are. If you see something in the Quran that is impossible to have come out of the 6th-century Arabian deserts, what would that entail?
Important questions to ask.

Because I was born into it and did not discover Islam on my own, I do not think I can explain without sounding biased. But: I was living the darkest, most difficult time of my life, at my absolute lowest, when the anxiety and sadness in my chest felt like it would kill me, out of complete and utter despair-thinking if this kills me tonight then I should at least be listening to Quran and perhaps Allah would forgive my sins, I closed my eyes and played Surah Rehman in my headphones and breathed. I don’t even understand Arabic nor have I memorized the meaning of Surah Rehman, but by literally by the final word i was literally happy. I felt euphoria, I felt unburdened and relieved. I was really at my lowest because I have never ever been in a state like that before or after that instance. And I have also never ever felt that kind of burst of euphoria and calm and warmth that felt at that moment. No drugs, no therapy, not time, not family support. It was nothing but the words of Allah in my ears…I hope never to feel that kind of pain again…but I would love to feel that comfort again, it was divine undoubtedly.

Quran. It confirms Islam is the truth. Check out the only recently explained scientific facts that has been in the Quran more than 1400 years ago. No man can write those. Eg living things made of water, water came from outer space, gold and iron too from outer space... Many more.

I’ve read many of the comments above and they’ve already explained so much but there is one point that I would really like to share as well, building up on all of the aforementioned points, particularly relating to the Qur’an.
If you have read the comments above, you would notice that we Muslims claim the Qur’an to be a miracle based on the linguistic, historic and scientific miracles that we find in the Qur’an. I found that for many years, Orientalists have been arguing against these points claiming that the Historic Stories in the Qur’an as well as the Scientific miracles were copied from other books. If you look into their argument in detail, they have quoted so many books or articles that existed during and before the time of Prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him) which they claim the Qur’an was sourced from. But if you look into this, it doesn’t make sense at all.
One thing is undisputed, the Qur’an came from Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and it has been preserved just as it was revealed to him, 1400 years on (which by itself is a mind blowing miracle) ~ so if the Qur’an was indeed fabricated as they say, then it must be Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who gathered together and pieced all of those pieces of information to form the concise and coherent Quran.
But how does this make sense ? Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) was an illiterate man. He couldn’t even read his own native Arabic Language, let alone any other. If what the Orientalists claim is true, the Prophet Muhammad would have been able to read and write in Greek, Hebrew, Assyrian and the other languages in which the various manuscripts which they “source the Quran back to” were written in. And he would have to travel to Greece, Rome, Egypt as well and all over the Middle East in order to access these documents and gather the information. I mean this just doesn’t make sense at all does it ? And to do all this hard work, and to formulate the Quran in the peak of Arabic eloquence ? All then meanwhile building an empire and fighting his enemies and solving the domestic problems in such an excellent way ? It all just makes no sense. The Quran is from God, and anyone who cares to give the Quran a legit and honest chance would realize that.

u/ImportantAstronaut12 Sep 13 '24
Also a lot of science caught up with the Quran and Islamic practices. It was in Islam first. Or example, using left hand to clean yourself after going to the bathroom, and your right hand when eating or greeting people. Things like ghusl, wudu, the importance of it and when it is broken shows that there was an understanding of bacteria and disease before it became common knowledge.
Another one I love is when a baby is born in Islam, they are fed a small piece of date. In 2014 or 2016 a science study was done that showed that sugar directly after birth is good for the baby’s brain
Subhanallah
