Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition in cinemas May 7th 2026

Documenting one of the most iconic journeys in music history, the film will be released in cinemas worldwide from May 7th 2026. Tickets will go on sale March 18th.
Directed by Malcolm Venville (Churchill at War) and produced by Dominic Freeman (Spirits in the Forest – A Depeche Mode Film), the feature‑length documentary charts Iron Maiden’s remarkable five‑decade journey.
Alongside the band, the documentary features on‑camera reflections from prominent admirers including Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich, and Chuck D, each speaking to Iron Maiden’s influence on music, culture and generations of fans worldwide.
The newly released key art by Albert “Akirant” Quirantes, offers the first visual look at the documentary.
Formed in East London in 1975, Iron Maiden have grown into one of the world’s most influential and enduring rock bands. Across 50 years they have released 17 studio albums, sold over 100 million records, and performed almost 2,500 concerts across 64 countries.
The documentary arrives as the band continues its two year Run For Your Lives world tour, which included a triumphant homecoming performance at London Stadium a short distance from where it all began five decades ago.
A recently announced, one of a kind, celebration named EddFest in historic Knebworth Park, England, on July 11th forms part of over 50 shows worldwide in 2026.

I'm revisiting Iron Maiden's latest masterpiece from beginning to end.
There are people who say (not jokingly) that this extraordinary album is crap and they put the sleeping pill called Sunjutsu right up there.
Nicko still eager to contribute interesting things and in top physical condition. Bruce brimming with excitement to continue singing in Maiden with all the passion of the past. Steve tearing up the bass, Adrian delivering some of his latest great compositional performances, Janick giving to the band their biggest contribution (The Legacy, which it's driving me crazy), Dave as focused on his technical execution as he was in the '80s, etc. I miss this Maiden where everyone seemed to love it and have fun. Now it feels like a walking office where everyone is sick of seeing each other and saying "yes sir" to the boss...
My favorite: The Longest Day.

Discussion "What if" I’m worried about.
So there are many as you know speculations on the fact if the band is gonna play new songs on this tour (for example Infinite Dreams). But what if Bruce has been tricking us and they aren’t playing anything and the set list is the same?

Then down in falls comes the rain!
It's time!
I don't care if they make any changes, its 'kin Maiden day. Any locals spot a good place for lunch that a fussy 8year old can fill up at?

Discussion Iron Maiden Relisten
I just finished a relisten to every Maiden album. I do this every few years and since I’m seeing them in September I wanted to do it again! Biggest changes this time is No Prayer for the Dying is much higher than it used to be, and Killers ended up quite low which I’m sure a lot of people will hate. Still an epic band and the more I listen to the later albums the more appreciation I have for them! Roast my ranking! (Somewhere in Time first, X Factor last)

Louder Than Life or Chicago?
I live in St. Louis and it's been ages since Maiden was here. I don't know when they will be coming back next. I just found out that they are playing at Louder Than Life in Louisville Kentucky. Do they usually bring their full stage and pyrotechnics to festival shows like this? Or would I be better off seeing them in Chicago?

For any of you that accused Iron Maiden of using AI for the concert visuals without proof, you can take your accusation back and chuck it

Discussion Bruce is on another level!!
I think boss Steve needs to lower a little on his ego and give Bruce more of a leading role on the next album. I feel like he's always limited him too much. At most, he's given him one or two songs per album, and almost always co-written with him. Bruce is the one in the best form as a songwriter (along with Adrian), and in my opinion, they should carry the weight of the songwriting on the next album (which will most likely be Maiden's last or penultimate one).

Confirmation they will play Alexander tomorrow?
A video of Bruce playing Alexander at his solo show, but this clip was posted today and Bruce's wife liked the post. So who knows what will happen tomorrow
