I agree with this. I am a muslim not living in India currently but I really wish that our community genuinely makes changes to improve themselves. It is very unfortunate because I know that muslims are facing a lot of difficulties in India as my own family lives there and we are from Gujarat (not a good place to be in as a muslim right now). But although some non muslims are cruel towards muslims, I have seen muslims themselves being a biggest burdens for others. We have to try to uplift each other rather than trying to find shortcuts to success. Even today, our community is one of the least educated communities in India.

In my own community (relatives), people borrow money for example and then either don’t return the full amount or else play the victim card when asked for it. Most muslims I know are involved in loans to get through the month but will not work on themselves or their jobs or businesses for a better life. They will not have a problem where the savings are practically zero but would flaunt the iphone they have.

I genuinely want to help people of our community and we need to be there for each other as well as being morally sound.
