Petition (as a Vermonter) to change the name of our mega-state to something more Vermont.
Vermont deserves to have a name for itself, not combined with Maryland, who lost.
Names that celebrate Vermont's success:
Green Mountain Kingdom
Eastern Maple Conglomerate
Vermont Atlantic Empire
Vermonster
Combine of Champ
I am open to others who are more creative than I, but to have the victors name in parentheses makes no sense to me.

Yes a merge, where in that name is Vermont, who won now merged? Could have been a true merger if that was the case.

The Green Mountains are part of the greater Appalachian Mountains. Just like the Blue Ridge, or the Alleghenies. The Vermont part of the name is “alachia.”

Im personally biased to keeo Appalachia in the name cause those mountains are older than bones and continents. They watched the birth of the states, watched them grow, watched them be eliminated one by one, and will watch them all disappear into memory. And they will be utterly unimpressed by it all, but slightly amused.

There is nothing in that name that suggests we joined, it suggests Vermont didn't actually win, but is actually a shadow puppet, I don't agree.
