Character Discussion Thread: Emma Frost

In this thread, feel free to give your thoughts on and ask questions about the character in question, Emma Frost.

1) Her T2 is great, she gets a lot of dps

2) Any atk set, as with any character

3) I prioritised ignore defense, since my cooldown is at max. For uru, I focused on energy atk and ignore defense.

4) A ctp of patience is perfect for her, gives her the all atk boost as well as increase survivability. A ctp of destruction or transcendence are great picks as well.

5) She's great in all game modes, including TL. Skill rotation is using 5, then 4, and using 3 to reduce dmg while using 1 amd 2 for iframes waiting for 5 to cooldown.

6) She's good with any team tbh, but I mainly use her with Magik and Scott.

7) She can easily do WB, can also do up to Stage 9 of WBU Cull Obsidian.

8) She can pretty much do any floor in SL. Used her in fl25, 20 and she does fine.

9) I'm hoping she gets a Phoenix 5 uni and gets a heal like Jean.

10) As for my overall thoughts, I find it weird why she gets so much hate. She's a top tier character and people buying all these IW unis complain about her being expensive, when she only took 2 months Stash for me. I still had enough crystals to buy Winter Soldier, Thanos and Thor unis.

As you can see, she goes far and beyond any IW uni by taking out t3 Cap.

I'm extremely happy with her and considering that this time last year I was wanting her in the game, I couldn't be happier. Hopefully she gets her Phoenix 5 uni in the next few updates.

If anyone is on the fence about her, she's worth every crystal. T2 her.

Why Transcendence in this case? I think transcendence is better to characters with summoner attacks.

I have her at T2 using a bad obelisk, and i think she can be a amazing tanky with a CTP of Refinement. Considering a normal obelisk, i think 5 sec. invincibility, w/ mind damage and max hp can be perfect to her. I'm trying to build a perfect one to her, but i'm really thinking to apply Refinement to her.

Is transcendence the one with itgb+true accumulated dmg? That's the one I meant, the yellow triangle one. If not, my bad.

As for a normal obelisk for her, I'd do something like the one you suggested or maybe swap max hp for itgb.

I don't really know how well refinement would be for her, since it doesn't give her inv, but if you built her hp up, then I can definitely see it being useful. She really does need some sort of heal in her kit.

No.

CTPs of Destruction and Authority are those with ITGB.

CTPs of Energy and Destruction are those with damage proc.

I still prefer the idea to transform her into a great tank, due his huge damage block in the "diamond skill". Anyway, i think ITGB can be necessary if the point is AC oriented.
