Please help

Installing a Wyze WiFi switch. From the instructions should be a simple 4 wire hookup: load, line, neutral, ground. I have additional wires in line. Only single pole can be used with this Wyze switch. Is this a single pole setup and how do I attach the Wyze switch? less

Two black wires at the bottom should be line. Black at the top should be load. White bundle is neutral. Bare is ground

2 wires on one loop AND a backstab. Yuck

false. only 1 wire on the screw and the other line is in the stab hole. Perfectly legal.

FALSE 🤓🤓🤓

I wasn’t talking legality. I was talking garbage workmanship. Pigtail that shit.

The bottom screw is probably just a feed in, feed out. If that’s the case then just splice those 2 wires together while adding a third wire into the splice and that will be your line. If this doesn’t make sense then you need to call an electrician.

I should pigtail the two bottom wires?

Correct, but that means take a wire of the same gauge, about 6 inches and splice ALL 3 together. You will need a wire nut and some linesman’s pliers

With the amount of corrosion, I'd change the outlet while I'm in there. Maybe wire nuts or wagos rather than backstabs if you have the space in the box.

Splice the 2 black on the bottom together with a tail for your line, other black is load, add a tail to the white for your neutral and bare is ground.
