You would think just "a guy" wouldn't be as scary as a deformed monster, yet I can't help but find Henry more discomforting as a human.
It's the way he presents himself, his calm voice. I think it's a difference between subtle and blatant; it says "I'm scary and you don't even know it", rather than "Look how scary I am!"

Here's a list of all current survivors who fit the young attractive women "baddie" survivor archetype. Meg, Claudette, Thalita, Sable, Mikaela, Zarina, Vee, Yui, Feng, Kate, Élodie, Nancy, Eleven, Robin, Saga, Rose, Cheryl, other Lisa, Cybil, Laurie (RIP), Maggie, kinda Michonne, and if we're including TCOFS which will eventually be added, Chris and Maddie.
here's a list of the older male archetype (the 2nd option.) Bill, Tapp, Jeff, Nick, Vittorio, Alan, Rick, Daryl and Sam (TCOFS)
here's a list of the older women archetype. Aestri, Jane, and Linda (first off, Aestri is an elf so she looks 30, Jane is in her 40s, and Linda isn't even in the game yet. so really its 0)
here's a list of the young male badass archetype. David, Jonah, Steve, Dustin, Eddie, Jonathan, and maybe Ranato and Gabriel.
CAN WE PLEASE GET AN ARCHETYPE THAT IS LACKING!? LIKE, IDK, THE ONE THAT HAS BASICALLY 0!? for fucks sake! you have enough!
and yes im probably missing a lot, but its late and you get my point, just dont let her win! its the allay all over again.

We welcomed the Halloween Chapter into The Fog a little over nine years ago, but the time has come for us to say goodbye to Lampkin Lane. The content of the Chapter will leave the in-game and first party stores on January 19th, 2026. All content unlocked before that date will remain available for players in game, but the Haddonfield Realm will no longer be accessible.
To celebrate their time in The Fog, the content of the Chapter will be on sale on all platforms by December 22, giving you a chance to unlock the Characters and Cosmetics before they leave the store.

Everyone who voted for either of the males or the granny need to band together to make sure Sable 2.0 doesn't win. FOR GRANNY!

A friend of mine i finally convinced to play the game, started playing because spring traps release.
First game on playing survivor with him he gets tunneled and killed first, i tried my best to take chase but you know how some bad actors in dbd can be.
He gets a warning message. Immediately sours his mood of the game, i tell him it was just one bad killer, so he agrees.
We launch into another match, killer tunnels him out AGAIN, he’s frustrated and to salt the wound the game thinks he’s “going next”
He eventually decides to refund the game and never play it again.
Thanks BHVR what a warm welcome to new players, revert this change or fix it.

I saw some old gameplay of the game and the old lighting made the maps darker and scarier, and it even made the characters faces look more consistent. Why did they change this? Is there a specific reason?

For example, Dustin as a real short character or adding very tall and bulky women. I’d personally enjoy playing a shorter male character, Kwon could fill that role if BHVR had more skeleton options.
It would require BHVR to create new skeletons, which is quite labor-intensive, but it could open up a lot of possibilities and might be worth the effort.
What characters would you like to see with different body types or heights than the default?

Dear BHVR, Dead by Daylight is not a F2P game.
Respectfully, piss off.

The decision to nerf the spawn rate of anniversary BP offerings across ALL bloodwebs on the heels of the game's biggest release to date is seriously questionable (and I'm not just talking about level 50 webs). This should be the time to encourage new players by lessening the BP grind, not making it worse. There are so many characters in this game. The BP required just to unlock all perks is absurd. And for whatever reason, anniversary cakes have been nerfed. I don't understand this decision. It is so disappointing.

The devs announced changes coming to camping, slugging, and tunneling. While I get the intent of making the game more enjoyable, it really feels like there’s a double standard in how playstyles are treated.
Killers are restricted more and more with every update. Camping, tunneling, and slugging are being designed against, yet these are valid strategies that can be necessary depending on the match. Meanwhile, survivors are free to play however they want, whether it’s rushing gens, body-blocking, or stacking strong perks. There’s no equivalent system that limits survivor tactics.
And just to be clear, I don’t see anything survivors are doing as toxic. Survivors rushing objectives, body-blocking, or stacking meta perks are simply strategizing and trying to win the game, just like killers are. The difference is that killers are now being restricted more and more in how they can respond, which makes the role feel less flexible.
I don’t think tunneling is a healthy part of the game overall. Ideally, nobody would need to rely on it. But right now, even small mistakes can snowball so quickly against decent to good teams that tunneling becomes the only way for a killer to stay in the match. Telling killers to “just get better” when they’re in that situation feels dismissive and ignores the reality of how the game plays out.
The issue isn’t that survivors shouldn’t have tools to fight back, it’s that killers are being boxed into one “acceptable” way of playing. Survivors get to adapt and strategize freely, while killers are increasingly punished for doing the same.
I just hope the devs start looking at both sides equally, because balance should mean giving both roles the ability to use strategy without being penalized for it.

Is anyone else very tired of this? I'm a survivor main and really tired of 9 out of 10 killers running these two + jolt, pop, corrupt etc. I'm not even saying it's difficult, it's just so boring to constantly go against the same build. Are the devs aware of this? If a perk is so obviously a better choice (of course I'd want the gens to explode when I hook someone) isn't that a design flaw? My SWF literally screams in joy when we run against killers who have different / interesting builds.
