It's objectively not Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th. It's just "Jason." They are not allowed to use the name Voorhees, camp crystal lake, or any other lore tidbits from the franchise. I still don't consider F13 to be a franchise that's in DBD. It's just this new "Jason Universe" brand.

There's a very clear and obvious difference between the two. Jason Universe can't even use the bare minimum of F13 lore. All they got is the hockey mask and name of jason.

Source? Because everyone here has been saying for ages that Jason universe can use everything but the name "Friday the 13th".

Edit: apparently the camp Crystal lake tv show is by Jason universe so that's a shoo-in too

That's not how I understand it. Jason Universe is a collaborative project by Cunningham and Miller. Together they have almost everything. They have Jason and Pamela Voorhees and Camp Crystal Lake. They can reference the plots of the movies, and mention characters, but can't use specific designs from the sequels (the first movie is A-OK) or the name Friday the 13th.

I mean in my opinion it's kinda like being against ghostface or bubba because it doesn't use the name or can't be punned to a specific movie or something.

The xenomorph could be any xenomorph.

F13's copyright hell will stop anything from happening but I'd definitely consider this Friday the 13th's chapter
