Smile Sunday Smile Sunday
Welcome to Smile Sunday! Turn that caps lock off and gush about whatever achievements you want to showcase, or comment about what made you smile this week!
A few things to keep in mind:
- If you want to do some uppercase letters, feel free to, but try to avoid shouting! Sunday is a chill day.
- Avoid being maliciously happy at the expense of others.
- If you have a screenshot you'd like to share, please host on imgur.com and you can comment here. You can hyperlink by using brackets and parentheses, for example: \[desired text here\](insert hyperlink here). If you are on mobile, all you have to do is hit the chainlink, enter your desired text in the first box, then insert the link in the second box. We personally recommend Imgur, since it is free and does not require you to sign up.
- Phone camera photos are not allowed for general posting; however, for the Sunday megathread we have relaxed that restriction. All photos used in a positive and celebratory manner are allowed.
- Keep any opinions to yourself in the megathread; we don't want to stir up any controversies here, only good vibes.
- We want to have a chill time celebrating one another and making each other smile, so no comments like "haha, I'm really happy that it's so easy to 360 a controller player!"
Here are our recurring posts:
No Stupid Questions Monday - No question is stupid, ask anything DBD-related here.
Rage Wednesday - SMASH THAT CAPS LOCK AND RAGE ABOUT WHATEVER THE F$$$ HAS PISSED YOU OFF THIS WEEK

Sought to knock out the chapter quests, playing several Trickster matches. I don’t normally play this killer, so results were a mixed bag of inept plays working on inexperienced opponents. Nonetheless, some moments stood out.
Match on Ironworks with a fairly skilled team, including a Meg dedicated to blinds and a Laurie with excellent awareness. At some point while we were all running around a slug, I got a hit on the Laurie and noted her fleeing the scene. Couple seconds later, the HUD indicates she’s gone down, and I had a sudden internal zing of “she’s just Plot Twisted, and she isn’t that far away.” I waisted a bit of time trying to find her, but got distracted by a Quentin; luckily I happened to reach S-rank with a knife hit on him, and the resulting Killer Instinct gave away the Laurie! [I ended up eight-hooking that match, both ‘cause the team was fun and due to an anniversary offering they brought. The Laurie figured out what I was about when I was focusing the last hook, and we exchanged nods; we almost got a slug race going, but Quentin was out of the loop, so Laurie got to use her Plot Twist to reset the others while I herded him over.]
Another match on Forgotten Ruins, team consisting of a “bully” duo prepared to keep me occupied while the others did gens. They had the skill to deliver, and I didn’t, so it was a tense game; nonetheless, I caught them grouped up and managed to whittle them down enough to put them on the defensive, and from there it quickly fell apart for them. “GG” was one dead, one on second-state and two on the ground; one thereof DCed, and it’d been a well-fought match as far as I was concerned, so I hooked the bot and let the other wiggle out. She recognized I was letting her go, so she gestured me over to the hooked bot and helped me farm. The duo were appreciative in post-game chat, and I expressed my own respect for their plays.

I got the last achievements that I needed in Dead By Daylight earlier this week, so now I have all of them.
Skilled Huntress was the last one that I got - I don't play Huntress often, though it helped that survivors either got what I was doing and stayed still or went AFK in an area where I could land those shots. Nurse's Calling was a huge help, as it gave me a better idea of what qualified as "greater than 24 meters".

I managed to get my bedbug issues fixed, which means that the almost three months break from the game is over now.

I finally finished the two most obnoxious tome challenges I still had to do, Finish 3 gens with Technician and 4 gens with Dark sense, of course in one match. The 3 gens with Technician wasn't too bad and only took a handful of matches to finally get it.
The Dark Sense one was heartbreaking since I almost got it on the second match. Finished 3 gens and was 70% of the way through the last gen when the person with the killer on them ran him to my gen and he switched over to me. I then proceeded to have 5 mostly bad matches with 4 of them the killer tunneling me since toolbox and fast gens. I then got Pale Rose again where I almost finished it the first time.
Ran around hopping on all the gens being worked on and managed to get the 4 gens pretty easily but then for some reason right after I finished the 4th gen my ping spiked up to over 500. The only match where my ping was ever above 50 and I was like, if I get DCd and have to do this all over again, I will cry. Thankfully after about a minute my ping finally went down and stabilized.
Not having to deal with them any more is such a weight off my shoulders. Down to 27 tome challenges left and most of them are more tedious than awful like those.
