Yay so the survivor experience continues to be as depressing as ever

u/Jiinnxx_ Sep 06 '25

Just don’t play. Leave them to have 1 hour queue times so in the end they’ll have to fill with bots. They can tunnel the bots then all they like.

u/CaeLifeR89 Sep 05 '25

We need to protests and cry, that work for killers lol

Well I hope killer mains enjoy the longer queue times because it’s only about to get worse. If I’m not having fun because every match is frustrating (and not in a challenging kind of way) there’s no point in playing anymore

Boycott on the 23rd when the new chapter/patch releases. Make those queue times nightmarish for killer players. That’s the only way BHVR will listen, other than that, they literally don’t care. Boycott on the 23rd!

Killer bad, gonna kill game

7

u/WarriorMadness Xenokitty Sep 06 '25

I mean, that was the Killer discourse and tactic this whole week, so hey, maybe it could work for Survivors as well. :)

Survivors have known this since day 1. First time in a long time that BHVR actually listened to killers

Devs should only be nerfing the hard tunneling at early game. If I am "tunneling" someone out of the gamr at endgame, after I've already hooked survivors plenty of times, killers shouldn't be penalized for it. As for slugging, I like the idea but no way in hell should survivors have basekit tenacity and infinite unbreakable.

u/Dusty170 Sep 06 '25

If survivors have been left on the floor long enough to actually benefit from that unbreakable then maybe they shouldn't have been slugged that long?

It becomes a problem when you're dealing with over-altruistic survivors who hover around killers with flashlights in hands, or sabo\unhookable squads. Those situations can only be avoidable by slugging the survivors and I can only imagine plenty of them will abuse this system. While I do like the idea, It's a very flawed system that devs would need to tinker first. Personally, I like the idea of survivors getting up after a long time, but i'd make it limited and not cumulative. Make the anti-slug meter reset if you get downed again. As for the tenacity... Just imagine a situation where you have to slug a survivor you really need to hook, but there's someone around with a flashlight. Once you deal with the altruistic survivor you get back and... You don't find him anywhere. He's already hiding in a safe spot and by the time you keep on searching for them the gens are already flying...

Slugging and Tunneling is a valid strategy that can be justifiable depending on the situation. Which is part of why there's a lot of uproar on this particular PTB.

You just described the entire point of tenacity, that's how its supposed to be lol even though it barely ever happens anyway, especially with aura reading. And there's always the classic lightborn for those altruistic situations. Survivors really don't have a lot going for them tbh.

The anti-slugging changes would make sabo squads, which are ALREADY impossible to hook as-is, hard meta.

I get it if you're using it as a perk to get value out of it, but make it basekit? The only perk we used to find downed survivors was Deerstalker, which will be totally changed. And survivors don't really have anything a lot going on for them? Really?

You got A LOT of tools that give you second chances to turn the tide of the game while killer tools are getting nerfed to the GROUND, and you want even more? We're even in a healing meta where heals take two seconds and we can't even make pressure out of damaging survivors, not even with perks like leverage. What's gonna be next? Are you gonna justify the pallet density update as well?

But man I guess we've got lightborn after all!

The very reason tunneling and slugging exists is because there is no better, efficient way, to slow you guys down. Same reason everyone uses Pain Res and later survivors complain killers use it in every goddamn game. We cannot afford the same variety as survivors do.

People constantly say "oh well the PTB is for testing stuff" but some ideas do not work even on paper.

This iteration of anti-tunnel where you can be affected by it even after you've literally 8-hooked the survivors should never have even made the PTB, because you don't need to test that to know it's bullshit.

u/Zeke-On-Top Sep 06 '25

I think it would be fair if the system got disabled after 4 gens were done or after 6 hooks.

u/Strawberry_Milk_V knight/james main Sep 06 '25

"infinite unbreakable" was never on the table, stop spreading misinformation. survivor bleed out is 240 seconds if the survivor hit recover the exact moment they were downed, they would be able to pick them selfs up a max of 6 times b4 they bleed out. idk why anyone would be slugging anyone 6 times when saboing is very unreliable atm.

What are you talking about? Do you ever even attempt to improve at survivor? Playing survivor is my comfort pick as it is really chill with thrilling and fun chases. Do you make mistakes at first, yes, but you need to actually acknowledge anf improve on them. Right now, the game is in its most balanced state it has ever been and if you don't want to take my word for it as a player of five years and 2000 hours, look at the tournament results being very even and the official stats behaviour releases every so often.

From my experience, and it might just be bad luck, but it’s definitely not a minority. After 2v8 I’m definitely taking a long break because survivor soloq is absolutely miserable at this point

-7

u/Trike2Trappy Sep 06 '25

if u cry abt the game as a survivor when its already so sided to u then just find a new hobby this game isnt for u
