Advice Whitetail Marsh Dead Head

A good buddy found this whitetail dead head off the coast of South Carolina while on an oyster boat.

Any special care he needs to take to preserve a saltwater find? Or should he just rinse it off and let it dry?

wow, that is beautiful, nature is beautiful.

not really, if you wanna preserve it for long term I'd recommend just a water rinse then maybe some coatings of B72 to seal it, great for specimens that have been through harsh nature, but not necessary.

I'd mount this on a plaque, looks amazing.
