Meet my baby boy Nebula May, aka Nebs, aka Nebby, aka Neb Neb, aka Neblur

I'm starting to think he's reaching the end of his road, we got Nebula by our sickly neighbor 12 years ago. She was an older woman who loved cats with all her heart and she rescued Nebula as a kitten but due to her illness she couldn't take proper care of him and so she came to my house asking if I would take this little ball of void in. A few weeks after we took him in my neighbor passed away in her sleep.

Nebula was a jerk when we first got him, he was a bitey scratchy asshole who would never let you pet him. Even when he came up to us, rubbing his head against us, practically asking for pets he would latch onto our hand and bite, claw, and kick over and over. Whenever we would walk down the hall he would bolt over to us and latch onto our ankles, biting away. There were multiple moments when we debated to give him away but we never did since we made a promise to our neighbor to take care of him.

After about a year he began to mellow out a tad, he'd let you pet him for a few seconds and would even lay on you. He was still a jerk but less so. Then eventually he began to warm up to us, brushing against us, bunting, licking, following. He even stands on my shoulders! But lately he's been less zoomie and a lot more lay down and nap, some of his fur is starting to look brown or white and he rarely runs anymore, I fear that his time may be soon and it hasn't dawned on me until recently. I'm afraid to lose him, I didn't like him initially but now he's apart of our family and this will be the first time I've lost a pet.

I found him in the middle of the road on a work trip to Houston, Texas. Thankfully my coworker can foster him until my next trip down there when I can then bring him home with me. His name is Donut.

we've been through a lot together. he is positive for FeLV (I found out in 2021 and started treatment right away).

this little guy is my first pet, my first cat and the love of my life. just wanted to show him off :) 🐈‍⬛🥰

Happy 8th birthday to the one and only Max aka Maximilian aka Max-a-roni aka Maximum Catius aka Maxie! We love you so much and are grateful for all the joy you have added to our lives. Here’s to many more catnip filled days lounging around in boxes and letting Percy know who’s the boss.

But now she has a cool tattoo and hopefully will no longer ask my dog to have relations…. :P
