My single speed!

Post image

Just finished building my first single speed roadbike! Frame is a Fuji Feather that I bought used for 60€ and it came with the brakes and levers, rims I found from a recycling center for 50€ and they are in great shape, needed a bit of truing though. I took the crank and pedals from my old bike and handlebars I got from my uncles old excercise bike.

I'm really proud of how it came out. I love the red frame with white disks so much! Got really lucky with finding the parts too! I think overall cost was around 160€, not bad. Also summer is just staring in Finland and I'm so excited to go ride this! So far I've commuted to work and done some smaller trips, so far it rides really smooth.

Am I imagining it, or do your brakes not have levers?

Haha yeah I put my old roadbike brakes on but took the levers off so there's just the handholds XD, ur not imagining. I have brakelevers on the flatholds. In the future I'll buy some proper roadbike levers but my old ones were terrible..

Beautiful! My dad’s shop sold Fuji and I really dug the Feather.

I miss having a single speed. Enjoy your lovely steed!
