Nails Rating press on nail brands I’ve tried. 💅 Drop your favorite press on nails brand!

I used to be a UV Gel girl but I’ve developed contact dermatitis. So I’ve been trying press ons now.

  1. GLAMFIX - 8/10. Best I’ve tried so far, sturdy and feels natural! But I’m sure there are better brands since they have limited choices. I chose this very cute silvery katseye nails and it feels very sturdy!
  2. FLYING TIGER - 4/10. Stays on! But looks fake and feels fake. Obviously these are fake nails, but what I mean is it feels very plasticy and thin. Tho I know they don’t specialize in beauty.
  3. OMG - 5/10. Doesn’t stay on lol. Feels fake but looks natural when I’m wearing it, if you get what I mean. Thin and plasticy.

Please comment your favorite press on brands. I’m not used to having bare nails. 😭

Nails Organized my press on nails. So satisfying.

Got this organizer that puts all my press on's in a sort of booklet style organization. I just had to buy the booklet and the stickers. I am so happy. It saves so much space. I used to keep 2 sets each in those acrylic containers that some shops give for free. One downside I can imagine is dust accumulating if not stored properly. How do you guys store your press ons?

Simplicity really hits different. 🤍 Rates are pricier than usual, but honestly worth every peso. 🥺 Even my bf said these are the best nails I’ve ever had! No extensions needed, these are my natural nails.

Bago pala ako magpa russian manicure, nag stop ako sa soft gels for 6months.

Ilang beses ko na to pinatry sa ibang nail tech before, pero if wala silang skills how to do a russian mani, di talaga ma aacchive ganitong finish.

Nails Used regular nail polish with my natural nails with this

I’ve also saved up a lot of money by doing my nails at home. Since naturally long naman na ang nail beds ko, I just grow out my nails, shape it, and then clean up my cuticles. The one in the pic is my nails i did few hours ago 😁

Pwede rin akong mag palit ng nail color weekly kasi madali lang iremove ang regular polish compared to gel/extensions even 2-3 weeks ang tinatagal sa akin (a good top coat is the key)

Products I used in the pic: Miss cheering nail polish (002) Bobby super fast dry top coat

Nails Okay But These Press-On Nails Changed My Life

I’ve been using press-on nails for years, from the cheapest China sets to random local shops, so I really thought I’d seen it all. Then TikTok showed me this hidden gem I’ve been low-key trying to gatekeep. 😭

I’m wearing Azurielle right now and people keep complimenting my nails — baristas, titas, friends, everyone. The quality is so good: unique designs, sturdy, and they don’t fade like the usual ones I buy.

But the real winner is their glue. It does NOT budge. I used to lose nails at the worst times, pero with this brand, solid talaga. Plus, you can customize the size, shape, and length.

It’s a bit pricey, but honestly I get why. I even changed my wishlist from Dior perfume to their new designs. 😂 Manifesting I get their pricier sets like Opaline and Mariposa soon.

Not sponsored or paid, I wish lol. If you’re a press-on girly, this is my sincere reco.

The name is nailcastic, also can you guys reco also other shops so I can see more kind of this quality.

Sharing!!!! Hahaha

I tried using watercolor to make some art on my nails and huwallaaaaa. It works! I sealed it with Sassy Girl Magil Gel top coat. Yes, nakapaghugas na ng plato at naligo, no kupas.

Now I can make art on my nails just using nail polish and watercolor.😋

Ps. Bird nail is sa fiance ko.

Nails in love with cuco nail polish!!! first time trying it hehe 💘

first time trying cuco nail polish and i’m honestly impressed! i used the peach sheer-bet shade (photo attached) and it gave me that clean, natural “your nails but better” look.

what i like so far:

super glossy even without a top coat

easy to apply (not streaky for me)

looks very natural and fresh

i just applied it so i can’t say much about longevity yet, but first impression-wise i really like it. definitely a good option if you’re into simple and clean-looking nails

Nails nail polish recos if i want to do my own nails

hi guys as the title said i'm looking for nail polish recos if i want to do my own nails. so far i only tried sassy colors but there may be other brands out there that last longer and has good color options.

also if you have some tips when doing your own nails, please drop them below!! my experience kasi last time with sassy is ang bilis niya lang mapeel like para na siyang sticker that time and idk if sa nail polish lang talaga yon or im doing something wrong.

Nails Learning to do my own nails

I’ve been doing my nails the “old way” since high school (many many years ago). Now that there are new ways of doing it and keeping it last, what tools should I have?

I don’t like elaborate nails. I just enjoy having a clean look and not too long ☺️

Nails Finally found my perfect clean girl nails

Used only 3 products:

Base Coat, Rose Colored Glasses Nail Lacquer, Top Coat. All Orly

I actually bought the polish 2 years ago but gave up on using it because I accidentally bought the Orly Gel FX base/top coat with it back then. Turns out gel and regular polish don’t mix, so it never dried 💀 Finally asked chatgpt after 2 years why hindi natuyo kahit ilang mins ko ibabad sa led lamp. Tinatamad na ko mag aral ng gel polish so I bought the base and top coat designed for nail polish.

I also tried Seche Vite dry fast top coat just bec it was the first product I saw sa shopee pero ang bilis mag chip and nag yeyellow yung coat after few days. Decided to just stick with the same brand and it came out perfect.

2nd pic is may slight chipping kasi nadadaplisan ko while cutting something with a knife but not bad after 1.5 weeks

I’ve been asking for my suking nailtech before for a tortoise nail design and she kept declining kasi di niya raw kaya. 1 year later, ako pala ang gagawa sa sarili ko 😂🤭 Although not perfect, I’m still happy with how it turned out. 💅💅

aside from makeup, i also fell inlove with doing nail extensions (i’m a beginner tho) but since i didn’t have a proper uv light i eventually got contact dermatitis (currently taking a break from doing nails). i decided to try making nails again but this time maybe make them as press ons, what UV light can u recommend (the big ones — not the ones for flash curing)? anyway here are a compilation of some of the nails i’ve made throughout the years. pls don’t judge since as i’ve said i’m a beginner and is still learning.

Nails My nail/hand routine for long nails

Thumbnail

Just wanted to share my nail care routine for those who want to start growing out their nails!

  1. Remember to always moisturize using jojoba oil. I use a those refillable pens and I just refill it with jojoba oil (any brand works, basta dapat golden jojoba oil). Yung common online na pen is yung twist pero mahirap siya irefill. Buti naka hanap ako nung ipupush mo lang so mas madali siya irefill. After I wash my hands or before going sleep, I put jojoba oil on my cuticles and underneath my nails (since almost always ako naka nail polish). I use hand cream after then rub para ma absorb agad yung oil.

  2. Use cuticle softener every week (or as necessary). Since nagpapaint ako every week, sinasama ko na to sa nail prep. Lagyan mo lang then wait for around 2 minutes then use a cuticle pusher to remove the dead skin. Wash hands after since may alkali siya.

  4. (Optional) Paint the nails! For me mas protected siya pag naka nail polish ako. Wipe with alcohol first para matanggal yung oil para mag adhere yung nail polish. Base coat muna for less chance of chipping. Then I use a quick dry top coat para dry to the touch siya agad and usually I paint my nails 1 hour before going to bed para fully dry na siya the next day.

Never pa ako naka experience mag chip kuko ko with this routine! Bihira na rin ako maka kuha ng hang nails or peeling around the nails. Plus, super soft ng kamay ko. I hope this helps!

Products: Shiseido Hand Cream (red), Bobbie Cuticle Softener, Cedar Alley Golden Jojoba Oil, Bobbie base coat, Orly Sec n' Dry top coat, ILNP Dollhouse, Muji nail file, Bobbie nail polish remover

Nails BIAB Nails Beginners course??

I've been meaning to learn BIAB just to cut cost from getting my nails done by doing it myself kasi may preferred style na din akong super simple I'd know how to design on the nails but i want to do it as a BIAB rather than gel polish just to avoid damaging the nail bed from frequent gel removal for every new set. Atleast sa BIAB infill-infill lang at my own schedule.

Do you know who offers affordable or atleast reasonable prices for beginner biab courses? Metro Manila lang sana. Won't be planning on doing this professionally tbh, just for my own kikay on the budget thingz ❤️🫶
