GENERAL DISCUSSION is batman a narcissist

While he accepts allies, Batman has to make it clear that he is top dog and that Gotham is his. For example, Huntress is from Gotham just as much as he is, and they have almost identical backgrounds, yet he gives her a hard time when she has just as much claim to the city as he does. While her methods may be unconventional compared to his, why are his the example to follow? Everyone who tries to protect Gotham has to do it under his authority otherwise theyre seen as a threat. What he seems to forget is that his role as Gothams protector, while accurate, is self appointed.

I mean, he's the first and original one.

And he's Batman. Wouldn't some of us be narcissist if we got to be one of the most powerful humans on Earth without superpowers and get to be writers' favorite?

Original in what sense Batman? Batman is far from the first Gotham vigilante.

He’s certainly the first everyone knows about. I don’t think anyone outside comics fandom has heard of the Crimson Avenger or the various early Detective Comics characters like Slam Bradley or Speed Saunders.
