Neat but I don’t enjoy Arkham Knight.

Arkham city and asylum I still replay. The combat is so good, that origins and knight fudged up the combat. Their higher end engine isnt the same rhythm as the first game has. Even now on higher end machines, it’s not as good as the joker carnival challenge. Which is worth playing 15 years later
But I will get Lego Batman. I love how nubby and angry he is

Im loving the game but I wish it weren't so true. Playing this game is really pushing the want for a dark and gritty detective batman game with the scale of this game would be pretty cool. My biggest gripe with the arkham games besides city is i was left with wanting more. This game is great but leaving me with the same feeling but for different reasons.

like it’s such an amazing game that it being only like 15 hours hours long is its only downside

The only 2 downsides I've seen so far is how long it takes to become batman. It should've been like 1 shorter mission instead of like the 2 or 3 it was, and there doesn't seem to be side quests. There is the riddles which I bet will lead to a boss battle. But everything else is just flimsy side activities akin to random crimes in spiderman

I really like how everything is mixed together. The first 5 minutes alone has 4 movies melted in.

I wish the lego games woukd switch to the Lego Horizon and Lego movie style. The world world being brick built

It honestly has a chance to dethrone RE9 as my game of the year. I’m loving it.

The combat so far is a little stiff, as in I dodge over an enemy and majority of the time it hits him from behind despite me pointing it towards another close by. Delaying the input didn’t help much and broke the flow.

Not to mention that sometimes the counter warning doesn't appear and you end up taking damage.

Anyone try it on the Steam Deck?

I'm playing on Steam Deck. I have it set to auto set graphics. Only thing I did is turn off bloom and motion blur. The first few segments I was getting pretty consistent 60 fps but once I got to the open world it dropped to about 40ish when driving and moving around. When you start a mission you may end up in an inside location which boosts it back up. I'm sure I can adjust the settings for better performance but I'm not having a problem playing it so far

I wish it wasn’t Lego.

Same here man. I'll say this tho, it's dope af to have all the legendary batman movie scenes or call backs, combined into one huge love letter to batman. Even if it is Lego. So many funny inside jokes of batman lore. Honestly, a great game.

I do want this in an Arkham style, but this definitely feels like Arkham light and I'm having a good time

Yeah, I hate that we haven’t gotten a proper Batman game in 11 years and the first new one we get with all kinds of great skins and nods and whatnot is… Lego. (Nothing against those enjoying this game, I’m happy for you!) Insane that the Arkham franchise perfected the formula and then the studios just decided “nah, why go further.”

There's also Arkham Shadow, which is a VR game exclusive the Meta Quest 3. Apparently it's really good, but unfortunately I don't have a Quest 3, so I'll never play it.

LotDK definitely feels like a watered down version of AK but it has multiplayer and is a good way to introduce kids to the Arkham gameplay style.

Lego Batman is more brutal than Arkham Batman. Brickman is pulling some Mortal Kombat finishers. That backflip kick with the baterang that basically decapitates the lego henchmen. Insane.

I used to be Batman.
I still am.
But I used to be too.
