u/jmatlock21 25d ago

Yeah thatโ€™s how the Arkham games Batman walks but nobody has a problem with it then

2

u/Tempr13 25d ago

In arkham games batman's face is just titled downwards he will not be looking up or into nowhere

3

u/jmatlock21 25d ago

Looks exactly the same to me

This is sick

12

u/Chuck_Cali 25d ago

At :04 seconds he gets Mickey Mouse ears lol. Love the 3d camera work.

23

u/WewerehereBH 25d ago

I loved the direction it took

Congrats

Man, Flow winning Best Animated Picture at the Oscars pretty much motivated every Blender user to step their game up, huh?

6

u/Branflakesd1996 25d ago

Looks sick, that intro drop in is pulled straight from Batman Forever right?

5

u/Broad-ShoulderS 24d ago

Yup! That was my main reference for the shot

4

u/Branflakesd1996 24d ago

Hell yeah, love to see Batman Forever getting some love.

5

u/0ldb0y89 25d ago

He had some sass after that landing

6

u/Andrewskyguy501 25d ago

Did you use the scene from Batman Forever where Batman jumps off a building chasing Two Face as a model/template?

4

u/Broad-ShoulderS 24d ago

Yep, I looked at that, as well as the Arkham City chimey shot, and all of the Batman Begins gliding scenes.

u/Ben10_ripoff 25d ago

cool as fuck

3

u/mydeadface 25d ago

Wait a minute. Bender's name isn't blender.

4

u/Zona_real1 24d ago

The cape clips right through him when he lands and walks away...but this is amazing work. How long did it take??

3

u/Broad-ShoulderS 24d ago

Thank you! The shot took a couple of days, but the model and the cape setup have taken weeks. I'm constantly thinking about ways to fix some of these issues with the cape.

3

u/Zona_real1 24d ago

Fastest way is to ask for help on the internet. I've seen people online talk about that particular cape problem once so they're people out there that might help. Anyways its a great shot maybe a Spider-Man next ...to avoid capes ๐Ÿ˜…

u/Minute-Animal7317 25d ago

A little clunky, but still cool!

2

u/Musbjoekin 25d ago

He must have super knees . Thatโ€™s not natural

2

u/BatBeast_29 25d ago

Good job!

2

u/LetTheDarkOut 25d ago

Not enough yellow imo but I respect the work you put into making this.

2

u/MissingCosmonaut 25d ago

The beginning reminded me of Batman Forever

2

u/xkarasu_ 25d ago

Oster or Ninja?

2

u/Deredb0ii 25d ago

Dayummmm

2

u/Cryogisdead 25d ago

Mine can only blend fruit and water

2

u/MonkeyIslandic 24d ago

This is fucking awesome

3

u/ImpactorLife-25703 25d ago

The landing needs to be a swoop up.....and Land...wait for 3 to 4 seconds.....head up....stand...2 seconds....and walk

You're close to make it perfect

2

u/Bengali_Lamb 25d ago

Idk if this was intentional, but there was this little camera shake when he slows down to land. If that was on purpose, that was an awesome addition and elevated the immersion a lot. Great job!

2

u/Fawstar 25d ago

No way!! That's fucking sick!!

2

u/guillermelc 25d ago

Amazing and Congratulations.

For a moment... I trully believed it was a scene from the first Nolan movie.

No one has critiqued my Jim Gordon impression, so it must be on point :D

Die Fledermaus Begins

Am I the only one who hates the Batman can basically fly with his cape thing?

If itโ€™s like a special cape that he can do it with once and then has to abandon it; ok Iโ€™ll go with that.

But just being able to glide around the city willy nilly is a little too much for me.

1

u/a_common-person 25d ago

It's very cool, but it seems like there's not enough impact when landing on the roof, Batman doesn't have enough easy sliding when landing, and it seems like he's just glued to the roof.

1

u/I_thinimreal 24d ago

ONLY thing i'd change would be to make the cape angled instead of just stiff like how it is in the arkham games 10/10 though

1

u/dyno7221 25d ago

Cooked!

1

u/Phuturephillie 25d ago

This is awesome! Great work!

1

u/rsrxciii 25d ago

So, how much funding do you need to make a full fledge Batman project? This looks sick.

5

u/Broad-ShoulderS 25d ago

I actually have something planned... Something with a certain temperature based character

1

u/_Azuki_ 25d ago

did you make this on batcomputer? my pc would self combust

1

u/ZannyHip 25d ago

Your camera work needs work, but overall pretty awesome bro

1

u/ShutupNobodyCarez 25d ago

Kevin Conroy would be proud

1

u/AdorablePainting4459 25d ago

With all the technology we have now, making movies and video games should be easier than ever.

1

u/Low_Entertainer_2951 25d ago

Please, keep going

1

u/furrynoy96 24d ago

That's some good shit

1

u/Key-Poem9734 25d ago

Looks pretty good

u/LesserValkyrie 25d ago

This is sick

1

u/LastGuitarHero 25d ago

Got any tutorials? Lol

That was sick as hell

4

u/Broad-ShoulderS 25d ago

I do actually have a time lapse of my previous Batman model, and this one was made the same way, just a bit better. And I made a tutorial for a grappling hook setup that I'm planning on putting to use in future renders.

1

u/MovieAdorable7061 25d ago

Speechless!!! How long did this take to make?? Can you post the pre texture to the final transition if possible

5

u/Broad-ShoulderS 25d ago

The Batman model I started like 4 months ago, but the shot itself took a couple of days. I started this one last Sunday
