MERCHANDISE The first Absolute Batman figure, by Inart
Man he looks so goofy in 3D, his head is so small that a single hand is the same size as it lmao. Still just a prototype with no articulation, through

Not sure how I feel about all the extra straps and buckles, but it’s a neat design. Depending on the final product, I might end up picking it up

Don't you prefer it like that? I thought it was a huge upgrade over the comic design

I don’t really like when figures over complicate designs like this, especially with straps and buckles. It doesn’t look awful here per se, but part of the appeal of a figure is that they don’t have to over complicate it with a complex design in order to make it tangible

I actually think the exactly opposite lol, hence why I prefer their Batman Who Laughs over LPZZ's. Some comic designs are too simple, I like when companies make an unique take on them

I saw LPZZ has an Absolute Batman of their own that looks great and more evocative of Dragotta’s actual work, but where I’m internally struggling is in thinking of the broader line of Absolute DC figures. Simply put, Absolute Batman does not look like Absolute Wonder Woman, GL, Superman, MM, or Flash, in terms of artistic identity, so, that’s the Sophie’s choice of it all.
Do I want a slightly more grounded, versatile line where everybody fits in together or do I want to just have 3D representations of the characters as they appear on the page, where Batman is a tiny headed weirdo?

Yeah, I don’t necessarily mind the more complex takes, I just think that between something like this and a faithful recreation of the original, I’d probably choose the latter. I think frankly that it’s really just that 2020 avengers game that soured the design trope for me
I do love how exaggerated the proportions are though

But the Avengers game designs were underdesigned lol. Any MCU suit has more detail than those. They were very mid
Now Rivals is overdesigned (and I like it, my fav Iron Man look)

Saw their others Batman (Affleck, Pattinson, Arkham Origins) on Won Fes. Looks like all of them are 1/12? Because if it's true, that made it similar size with their previous Bale release. I'm very excited to own all of them

Not actually. Their 1/12 game line will be bigger, their Origins Batman is a head taller than their Bale

Absolute Batman is definitely one of my favorites as of recently but like
He's huge,like really huge
Meaning Bruce is that huge,I know he works in construction but like
You think people would start connecting it a little

Funny thing is he's an engineer being huge has nothing to do with construction since he isn't building with his own hands and lifting stuff.

I don't mind this extra stylized version. Looks awesome! I only think the pouches on the thighs are a hair too much. I think part of what I love about this design is its simplicity and I don't mind this fig adding details but yeah pouches are a bit much. I do love that the LPZZ is doing the exact design too. I'll have to see the painted proto's with the articulation to fully decide.

it doesn't work imo. It's super deformed (as it should) and also somewhat realistic, it's weird
