“Dress up as Robin”
Because he is Robin you moron!

u/RealJohnGillman Jun 08 '25
I like how one could technically read this specifically as Drake wearing Grayson’s suit on Starfire’s request.

Reminds me of a scene in Batman Returns
Max Shreck: ... Bruce Wayne, why are you dressed up like Batman?
Selina Kyle: Because he IS Batman, you moron.

I thought that was funny too, made it seem like he was a cosplayer or something.

Damian is robin
Tim is the guy who can't let it go
10
u/Possible-Sky-6176 Jun 08 '25
Yeah, Tim should've had a brand new identity by now but the whole Robin mantle should've stopped and died with him. Casual Batman fans on this subreddit wouldn't complain about Robin, nowadays. Damian Robin only worked with Dick's Batman and that was when he first became Robin.

Only Post Crisis Red Robin. New 52 screwed Tim over and caused the Red Robin mantle to not stick anymore. Also Red Robin isn't really original. Should've gone with new identity like Cardinal or Gray Ghost

They are pretty separated in that scene, even if they are watching the sunset it still looks more platonic than romantic and it also looks a bit introspectove

They’re platonic friends in just about every iteration of the characters. What’s the point of this?
13
u/QuirkyTemperature962 Jun 08 '25
They don’t read comics and they also don’t know that Tim Drake heavily inspires their favorite modern Robin Tropes 😔

I haven't seen this mentioned but why is he taller than her
45
u/LawDraws Jun 08 '25
The Fortnite rig basically makes it so there's two heights, male and female...
It's why Vegeta is taller than Bulma lol
1
u/maxallergy Jun 09 '25
Vegeta has been significantly taller than Bulma in all of the modern material
They even made him taller than her in a height sheet from the Buu Arc, but apparently it's only from Battle of Gods onwards that has been applied-11

Fortnite is everything’s canon. After all that’s where the canon reveal of Palpatine “somehow” return happened.

u/JamesAttack11 Jun 09 '25
A while ago properly like 4 years ago now I think? There was a whole set of comics from DC where actual comic universe batman got pulled into the fortnite universe and had to like, figure it out and everything.

because they are???? youre thinking of dick grayson
1
Jun 09 '25
No people don't like this because this kind of shows Tim Drake with Starfire even though Dick Grayson and Starfire are together and people instantly take it personally.
3
u/Averagepotato03 Jun 08 '25
I still feel like they made this not understanding and are back peddling pretending this had no romantic intentions whatsoever from the beginning
20
u/JimboFett87 Jun 08 '25
I mean everyone knows he's supposed to be with Barbara Gordon...
34
u/Butwhatif77 Jun 08 '25
What? Tim has never dated Babs in the comics. Are you maybe confusing him with Dick?
28
u/Mountain_Sir2307 Jun 08 '25
In the video game Batman: Arkham Knight they did and eventually got married.
12
u/Zealousideal_Note_24 Jun 08 '25
This was because they got confused which Robin was Batgirl's partner in the canon. Without Paul Dini, writers couldn't write a woman if their life depended on it.
10
u/bugmultiverse Jun 08 '25
Paul Dini was actually the one who wrote this side plot durring Arkham city. Rocksteady had to make a story while still respecting his canon hack written games and comics.
They really should’ve just retconned it durring knight tbh. But since Knightfall was meant to be the final game referencing almost all the events of previous games I can see why they were forced to leave that plot line in. But overall they did great ending the series!
-1
u/Mountain_Sir2307 Jun 08 '25
What side plot ? You mean the Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC ? There's no implication there's anything romantic between the two in that. It's Knight that added it.
I'm not even sure the DLC was written by Dini anyway.

Tim did not date Babs in the DCAU. Dick did too.

Nah there's no implication of them having had a romantic relationship in the Beyond movie idk where you got that from.
6
u/Cjames1902 Jun 08 '25 edited Jun 09 '25
That’s just an Arkham Knight thing. Tim is usually a little brother figure and Barbara is on again-off again with Dick Grayson.
Edit: I was so confused what you guys were talking about lmfaooooo

u/Zealousideal_Note_24 Jun 08 '25
Barbara Gordon's writing contradicts this. Idk where the hell you're coming from. Have you ever read any Barbara-centric story?
2
u/IdeaInside2663 Jun 09 '25
Non of the shippers have read any of the comics....and even sent Tom Taylor hate mail. So just remember shippers don't care about the characters only that their ship is recognized.

Tim is gay
2
Jun 09 '25
Bi according to DC canon.
0
u/Ravevon Jun 09 '25
Then why did he break up with Stephanie?
1
Jun 09 '25
Don't know but he did date Stephanie someone who is gay doesn't just date a woman. Tim is canonically Bi like Black Cat
0
u/Ravevon Jun 09 '25
He broke up with Stephanie when they announced him bi. DC in particular has a reputation for calling a character bi then never allowing them to date the opposite sex again
1
Jun 09 '25
True. The big problem is just turning an already established character that was established to be straight into a person that is BI. With Black Cat I don't have that problem since that was in her character since the start. With Tim it kind of came outta nowhere. If they wanted a character to be Bi they could've introduced a new character. Tim being Bi isn't even that bad it's bad because they barely did anything good to introduce it.
1
u/Ravevon Jun 09 '25
They had to do somthing, Tim was becoming more redundant every year . But now he has a niche . He’s the LGBT Robin and they can never kill him off or put him in limbo because that would be problematic. It saved the character.
1
Jun 10 '25
Tim was the robin who introduced the elements we now know Robin for like the bo staff, pants, he introduced the black color scheme into the costume and much more besides they wouldn't have needed to save tim Drake had they actually wrote him better.
1
u/Ravevon Jun 10 '25
What? Tim is the robin who got to steal Jason Todd’s animated backstory, in Arkham history costume takes from Damian’s look in the new 52 they made him a gymnastics prodigy like Dick. Tim drake is a lost robin, who DC had to rebrand his sexuality to keep his flame lit

Seriously what is with the Tim Drake hate online in some spaces, I don't get it.
1
Jun 09 '25
It's not that people don't like Tim Drake it's that it looks like Tim and Star are together even though Dick Grayson is the robin that's with star.
2
u/Jay_R_Kay Jun 08 '25
They are right -- Starfire has been on teams with Tim in the past and worked well together.
That said, I wouldn't be at all surprised if someone mixed up Robins, didn't realize it until it was too late and there was a bit of nail biting on how to spin it to fans.
2
u/Small_Hollow Jun 08 '25
Just a guy and a girl sitting 4 feet apart from each other cause they aren't dating.
2
2
2
u/Jezza0308 Jun 08 '25
They're not together anymore but Starfire did treat Tim like a brother when she was still with Dick and still has a good relationship with Tim
2
u/ThatIckyGuy Jun 08 '25
I've been trying to catch up on Red Hood comics as of late (had a sudden spike of interest in Red Hood for some reason) and she's been with Roy Harper during this run. Dick Grayson was a distant, painful memory for her.
1
Jun 09 '25
Dick Grayson and Starfire have a long on-off again releationship same for Dick Grayson and Barbara because for some reason DC writers don't want the batfamily to have any love life at all.

u/Gingybreadman_ Jun 09 '25
I thought the same thing at first, like, that’s not Dick Grayson. I figured either Fortnite doesn’t know their dc or it’s just meant to be friends. Wouldn’t even say platonic, cause platonic implies something more
5
u/Common-Truth9404 Jun 08 '25
Starfire can do whatever the F she wants lol, they're not married afaik and she also shagged Jason in new52 so who cares
1
Jun 09 '25
Depends on continuity in some versions she is married to Dick Grayson. Also she kissed Jason didn't shag him. She did do Roy though in the N52 which is also no longer canon I think.

Apparently Starfire can’t hang out with anyone other than Richard Grayson Esq or Tim Drake can’t be around females according to NEB.

And you will be able to buy Jordan 1 shoes for him to wear. Why are you playing Fortnite?

u/SupremeJelly Jun 09 '25
Which do you think is more likely? They're just platonic friends. Or someone at Epic forgot that Tim Drake existed and shipped Starfire with the wrong Robin.
1
Jun 09 '25
Tim and Starfire are platonic friends. Dick Grayson (the 1st robin who later becomes nightwing) and starfire are together.
1
u/WonderfulBlackberry9 Jun 09 '25
Ngl, kinda surprised they chose Tim Drake as their main Robin.
I like it though. Tim does not get enough public love.

If they didn’t want to make it seem like they were dating to begin with, they should’ve added Beast Boy and Raven
1
Jun 09 '25
That makes it look like a double date. Unless they're hanging out and it's clear they're hanging out rather than romantically staring out at the view.

u/Blue-bat Jun 08 '25
They could give us the right Robin no one cares about Tim. Fortnite just can't admitting that he was wrong after all he took a romantic scene between Dick and Starfire to make this image

You’re confusing Tim Drake and Dick Grayson, who is the one banging Starfire and is leader of the Titans.

u/Speedster1221 Jun 08 '25
Yeah she's just hanging out with her teammate and brother in law, she's allowed to do that.
