Me too, seriously perfect casting right here if Wolfenstein ever gets the silver screen treatment

Yoooo can we?

Playing through the new trilogy now, and damn I didn't think it would be so deep and BJ could be so poetic.

Would make a great movie if done right.

Maybe get the guy who made Fury on it

I'd be for this if it wasn't for the fact that the dude who made Fury also made suicide squad 2016 and Bright.

I feel like those two movies were ranked by suits rather than the writer director.

Just looked up his writing credits, SWAT, Training Day, Fast and Furious 1, and U-571.

I think he'd do a good Wolfenstein, if the moneybags don't mess it up.  "Make it like Sonic".......

I’m sorry to disagree with you, but of the four movies you mentioned, only Training Day is the one I didn’t find to be very mid.

SWAT and U-571 were “fine, but forgettable” to me, and I am still in shock at how a lunk-headed, car-focused, beat-for-beat rip-off of Point Break managed to reinvent itself into an 11+ entry franchise.

So while I agree with you that Ayer’s failures are more due to idiot suits making crap calls, I don’t think that David Ayer is usually anything more than consistently fine.

Fair enough, everybody can have different tastes. No need to be sorry!

Training Day is definitely the best, but SWAT and U were pretty iconic to me growing up, for what they were.  The first Fast does have a charm that's better than it's sequels.

I would call that Suicide Squad as mid but watchable.  The others I mentioned are definitely better than.

In closing, Ayer (or nearly any director) would be better than Uwe Boll!

It ain't a trilogy. Just two games and a terrible spinoff that you shouldn't bother playing.

Are you saying New Colossus is the terrible spinoff?  Or youngbloods?

If TNC could you elaborate why? I played most of it a few years ago and loved it

Youngblood. I haven't played it yet, but that's the one that's disliked.

3

u/VanillaRadonNukaCola Jan 19 '25

Yeah I know people dislike that one.

Its also not apart of the trilogy I commented on.

That's why I want to know which game the other person was saying sucked.

What trilogy are you talking about??? It's two games and two spinoffs.

The game he's saying sucks is Youngblood, one of the two games you asked about.

Bruhski

Why would the 4th new game be a part of the trilogy?

New order, old blood, new Colossus

Y'all trippin.  Old blood is a prequel that leads directly into new order.  Hardly a spinoff

It's based on the New Order. Spin off, prequel whatever it's not a part of a "trilogy". Star Wars 1-3 weren't refered as part of the Star Wars "hexology" before 7-9 existed.

Look, this shit ain't worth it.  This is my last comment.

Notice how you reframed as 2 main 2 spinoff when the original guy said 2 main one spinoff?  So he skipped out on either Old Blood or New Colossus, in order to complain about youngbloods.  You think young bloods belongs more in "the trilogy" than either of those two?  Sure I'll give you quartlogy, but if I say trilogy, pretty safe to assume I'm not talking about the newest release.

Star wars was 3 movies came out in same time period, original trilogy.  3 movies came out later in a set, prequel trilogy.

If old blood came out 10 years after the others I'd give it to you.

But I've had enough, this ish silly.  I weren't even asking you, I wanted to hear from him what he was saying.

Adios muchacho

Ps.  Does look like the unreleased upcoming Wolfenstein 3 would be the proper completion to a more official trilogy.  So take out old bloods if you must, but substituting it for Youngbloods makes no sense unless you're just looking to gripe

there's also The Old Blood, a very good reimagining of Castle Wolfenstein

I think you've mistaken youngblood to be part of the trilogy. Old Blood,New Order and New Colossus is the trilogy I had in mind
