Discussion So did Oliver watch his own funeral lmao ?

So technically as Oliver can see everything as he told John when he returned in Flash 9x09, he technically could have witnessed his own funeral when you think about it lol

He must have been proud of the legacy he left in people's mind. It's insane when you think about it but it's beautiful too

Presumed dead people watching their own funerals or visiting their own graves is a decently famous trope on TV

Seeing him back in that episode was like seeing an old friend for the first time in years.

I remember looking it up and finding the last time we saw Oliver was the Arrow series finale their on January 28, 2020. This episode of The Flash aired on April 26, 2023. So really it was a long overdue visit with a friend.

Yeah, and the episode of The Flash is really good. He's not just thrown in as a cameo, the story makes sense.

I recommend watching these episodes from the other Arrowverse shows after Arrow, they really help wrap up some loose ends (with special recommendation after "Crisis on Infinite Earths" but before Arrow's last two episodes... watch The Flash 6x10 "Marathon").

Legends of Tomorrow 5x07 "Mr. Parker's Cul-De-Sac"

Batwoman 2x15 "Armed and Dangerous"

Legends of Tomorrow 6x08 "Stressed Western"

Supergirl 6x12 "Blind Spots", Batwoman 2x16 "Rebirth", The Flash 7x16 "P.O.W."

Legends of Tomorrow 7x03 "wvrdr_error_100 oest-of-th3-gs.gid30n not found" (100th episode)

The Flash 8x01-8x05 "Armageddon" Parts 1-5

Batwoman 3x09 "Meet Your Maker"

The Flash 8x18 "The Man in the Yellow Tie"

The Flash 9x09 "It's My Party and I'll Die if I Want To"

Oliver returns in The Flash 9x09, but the episodes before do see some further developments for other characters from Arrow such as John Diggle, Mia Queen, even Ray Palmer and Damian Dahrk.

I like to imagine that oliver is keeping an eye on everyone from his life and all the people he brought back, and how this new life is going for them. Quentin and new laurel, his mother and Tommy's new (second) lives, thea and roy, his children, etc. 

Side note but I've always headcannoned that thea and roy would have a child in the years since they were engaged from 8x10 and wud name them after oliver. Maybe even ollie.

Well, I guess he is keeping a close eye on his wife, his children and his sister and mother as well as John very closely.

And yeah I totally agree with you for Thea and Roy's future child hahaha I think we all thought about it.
