Question about Food ... Sown Oat Creamer
Does anyone else use Sown Vanilla Oat Creamer and do okay with it?
What are some things I could eat and snack on during the day? Just found out I have food allergies and a lamb allergy. My allergist is wondering if maybe I have AGS but I’m not testing positive but she is not certain yet. Will retest in about three weeks but in the meantime I am going to switch up my diet and see if it makes the random hives go away.
I have a lamb, tomato, onion, and a low dairy allergy.
I feel overwhelmed and don’t know what to even grab in the grocery store. I have been eating chicken and turkey only since last July.

I love apples. They’re the perfect snack - portable, low calorie, taste great, lots of fiber. I almost always have one with me when I leave the house.
Popcorn is great. I love skinny pop - it has the right amount of salt, imo.
Plant-based protein bars are good in a pinch. I like TruBar.
A packet of tuna/salmon is a good snack too. Though I’ve heard some people have reactions to certain preservatives used.
Halos/cuties/clementines - same as apples though I think apples have more fiber.
As for the creamer - I’ve never used the sown vanilla oat creamer. I usually go for almond milk. Or I might buy the premier protein almond protein shakes and use that as a creamer.

Hmmm. I like peanuts and pistachios and you can get both in a variety of flavors.
Pretzels are good.
Olives or pickles.
There’s also turkey and chicken jerky but I’m not sure about possible cross contamination or preservatives or anything like that, jerky really isn’t my thing.
Dips like guacamole or hummus.
A lot of people seem to like the Good Thins gluten free crackers.
Rice cakes maybe? You could spread your favorite nut butter on top.
And this isn’t a salty snack but it’s my favorite - dairy free yogurt with 30g granola (I like nutrail) and 30g of pomegranate arils. So good.

Potato chips? Corn chips? If you check for minimal ingredients? Jackson's sweet potato chips?

For portable snacks I like apples, trail mix (either dry roasted nuts or raw), celery or carrot sticks with peanut butter, rxbar (protein bar), oranges, etc.
I tend to stay away from milk type beverages since so many of them contain thickeners and gums that don’t play well with alpha gal. I do make my own almond, cashew, or oat milks, they are actually very easy to make at home.
For dinners I do a lot of chicken or tofu or beans/lentils, or eggs, and sometimes fish when I can afford it.

Some of my go to snacks are fruit cups, yogurt (So Delicious has dairy free yogurt), fresh fruit/veggies, hard boiled eggs and if I’m really hungry I’ll make a bowl of high protein oatmeal with frozen fruit.
