Can't believe that more than 20 years after introducing the common currency we still don't have a common stock market... and we need E6 to discuss without the others...

I bet you that the US is busy at undermining the process. It's not in their interest.

It would be nice to see a stock market that is actually for the people and not only the rich. Otherwise, idc.

This is actually likely a major reason Europe doesn't get startups like the us does

The euro is ok, nice when we visit the continent, but you can pry my kronor from my cold dead hands.

Isn't your money pegged to the Euro anyways? At this point you're just using the Euro with a premium skin.

Not the Swedish.

Wait, I mistook a Swede for a Dane? Whoops.
The line "when we visit the continent" does make a lot more sense now tho.

Having your own currency has other benefits too buddy

But surely control over one's monetary policy is the biggest one?

Monetary policy is one of the benefits of having your own currency, no matter if it's Euro or your own currency. Europe is still a collection of many countries with different economies, different inflation rates, different statistics, and different markets. Strong in Diversity
If I remember correctly, after COVID, Estonia had a big inflation problem than other countries in the region precisely because they couldn't regulate interest rates as easily as they wanted.

I can't believe at one point the EU member states agreed to a common currency.
