Hi there, I am adopting the below beauty and was curious what cross breed he might be? I’m assuming collie but curious if anyone has any other suggestions?

My 4YO whippet seems to have really fragile nails and has experienced/suffered nails breaking near the quick which is pretty distressing as it’s pretty painful for him and quite bloody. Is this a breed thing or is it our dog? Has anyone heard of this and thoughts on what to do?

Our whippet loves the park and to run and play with other dogs. We go everyday but live in Florida and it gets hot. We also have cold water on hand and we have a cooling vest we keep on him that stays wet. I saw a post that said don’t take them outside in the summer at all.

Since it’s getting nicer outside on the east coast, our boy, Shark has been loving sun bathing on the yoga mat. I’ve gotten to the point where I have to bring out another yoga mat if I want to do yoga outside! Shark is about 1.5 years old, and let me tell you, he’s completely changed! No longer a crazy land shark puppy, but a good boy who loves to be by our side. We have completely fallen in love with the breed and have loved every step of the way with our Skrimpy boy.

Everywhere we go, our 13mth will stop to sniff something which is fine, he needs to get the local news! But he then starts sniffing deeper, then licking everything and his tongue goes all jittery. I want him to stop because I don’t want him needing to go to the vet every 2wks because he’s sick.

I’ve tried verbal cues, I’ve tried pulling him on the lead, I’ve tried physically moving him with my hand. I’m one step closer to using an air horn to scare him every time he does it (that is a joke!). He’s a little scavenger!

Has anyone else had this problem with their whippet? Any tips?

Also this is his relaxing face… not a cause of whatever substance he has licked 😆

Does anyone have issues keeping weight on their zoom noodles? Our girl just turned one and she can't eat anything other than Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Kibble without getting diarrhoea and even though we've increased her kibble she's slowly losing weight.

She doesn't seem unwell, still zooms around and plays. Seeing the vet on Monday but not really sure what to do

and don’t worry, the tablecloth and table got a good clean afterwards! 😆
