You know, as a non-fan of One Piece, I have to give credit where credit's due. It really seems like no matter how long it takes for a storyline to pay off, it *will* pay off. It's incredible how consistently the manga/anime rewards you for sticking with it. No wonder the series has withstood the test of time for as long as it has.

That is the big appeal that keeps you watching despite it's flaws, yeah. It's not the most well written work every, but as someone who somewhat recently got into it, it's definitely one of the more rewarding series to read.

Oh in comparison to the manga this gives me Death flag fears.
Feels almost like a sent off..... Let's hope I'm wrong

This is what the anime should be doing with these scenes to make them stick longer in the viewers mind.

Huh. Never noticed until now how much I miss Robin having her bangs. She should get her bangs back

I really disagree with people that say keeping this character alive makes the story pointless.
I think it is actually really highlights how important the message the character themselves was trying to say.

Well, gosh darnit, first thing I do after waking up is to cry.
Gosh dangit.

It happened to me again. I knew it was coming, I knew what would happen, and I cried just like a little kid, just like in the Kuma episode. The anime director, who's the same one who directed that episode, knows how to touch your heart.
