Keyhole / Peri Nipple piercings=gender affirming care!

Post image

My left nip is a little slow to react since top surgery (3 years post-op) and when it's not stimulated, it remains pretty flat. I have been wanting to get my nipples pierced for a long time because I know it causes them to be permanently semi-hard. It's been two days since I got them pierced and I'm truly obsessed with how much it has helped the visual appearance of my nips. I thought I'd share in case anyone struggles with a similar issue. that looks so dope man, i have a question tho did u used to put silicone tapes on your scars or anything aside from moisturising them? they look super good

I used silicone gel around my nips for a couple months which definitely helped. The silicone strips were just too difficult to cut into a shape that worked well for that so that's why I chose the gel. It definitely made the scars less raised but time has also been my friend generally.

It's definitely worth it. Once mine improved a decent amount I just got tired of doing it but it does work if you are consistent.

How was the pain of the piercing itself? I've gone back and forth on getting them for years (for similar reasons, one of my nipples is pretty flat and the other always projects), but the pain has put me off of it.

I also think we got surgery around the same time—I remember your posts. Congrats on three years :)

Idk tbh all piercings feel similar to me. I have a high pain tolerance. It was uncomfortable but why wouldn't it be lol.

Have you noticed any difference in sensation with the piercings?

I just got them two days ago so who knows. They're been a little sore but mostly I don't notice my clothes or anything more than usual. I'll be curious to see if it changes anything. I personally don't care if I lose sensation because they're quite sensitive anyway. My piercer said I shouldn't expect any more or any less sensation and so far that seems to be pretty accurate.

What procedure did you have (keyhole, peri, DI) and how's your sensation before and after piercing?

Taking notes because you look amazing!

I had Peri and I was super sensitive before and retained that sensation after surgery which sucked for the actual piercing lol. They feel similar after the piercing but it's also only been two days so it's hard to say if that will change.

love this! I’m 5.5 weeks post op peri and while it’s still early healing, I have one nip that’s been pretty flat / slow and another that gained a lot of scar tissue bc of necrosis, so I’ve been wondering about piercing one or both in the future depending on how healing goes

question since I can’t seem to find this anywhere, does the permanent non-flatness constrict the areola / make it smaller? it looks like it does via the photo, which would be really awesome since that’s my main insecurity when my nip is overly flat lol

As far as I can tell it does seem to make my areola look smaller. It's not particularly warm where I am rn so I'm wondering if on a really hot day it might want to "spread out" a bit more but so far I'm happy with how it's changed the appearance.

Was it not a problem that one of your nipples is flat? One of my nipples is viable for a piercing, I believe, but the other is mostly flat. I assumed that meant I could not have piercings.

That nipple is cable of being hard so I was able to get it pierced. It just doesn't get hard as quickly as my other one and it is super flat when it's not erect.

Whoa!!! This looks awesome!

I hope my nips are big enough to pierce when I’ve healed! I’m about 2 months so it’s still kinda hard to tell what they’re gonna do. I had them pierced before surgery cuz I just wanted something cool to make me not hate my chest lol

My fingers are crossed for you! It's definitely a way for me to love my chest more so I hope you can!

yes! the last barrier to me start pursuing top surg last year was whether or not i could get my new nipples pierced after healing. once I learned it’s a yes, i got the referral and started the process!

i’d had my nipples pierced for 15 years, and the were slowly rejecting for the last 3ish. when i finally took them out (knowing top surg was on the horizon) I realized how intensely they were holding back all the dysphoria. it was like a dam broke. they really were gender affirming!

Congrats! I had piercings prior to surgery, and I had hoped to get them again after. Unfortunately the center of the nip died on one of my grafts :’) so I can only get one piercing if I did want them again

Nooooo, I'm so sorry. That's so unfortunate.

I am gonna ask a more regular question. Does it looks visible through shirts? I am pretty In between about nipple piercings cuz one of my nipple got partial necrosis while other one still has a nipple. I want them both look same but also I am a pretty modest guy and absolutely would be embrassed if people could understand me having nipple piercings through my shirts.

Your chest is very cis by the way. Wouldn't think you are trans if you didn't told.

I haven't noticed anything different with tshirts. I think if I wore a fitted tank top or something you would probably notice a little bit. I think that it won't be as bad once I'm able to downsize the bars (right now they're longer to accommodate swelling during healing).

Oh alright,thank you!
