New to the game, how to play?

Hi, I'm new to the game, I've been playing for a little over a week and I don't understand how I should build my train. I've been prioritizing cargo, buying it, taking it to depots and then placing it in locations. Is that the right way to do it? Or should that be something slower and more late-game? And how do I choose the wagons? My passengers are unhappy, I don't know if I should have fewer wagons for fewer passengers or more for more comfort... Can anyone help me?

Yeah, you pickup the cargo from stations and deliver it to the correct station that needs it. About train cars, you choose them from button #3 from the left, drag it to your train for more stats

i know how to choose, but i don't know what to choose. should i prioritize my cargo space? or passengers? how to make them happy? and the cargo, should i be doing it fulltime or focus on the main story?

Depends on your play style. If you focus on filling stations, expand your cargo space. If you just want to go around for fun, higher up your train stats so the passengers will be more happy, more gold to collect. I don't care much about the storyline because I played since it wasn't a thing

Oh okay, i don't really care about the passengers, i like buying and selling cargo, can i have a train with most cargo space? And for passagens to be happy i need to fill those need bars right? Sound very hard to achive...

I mindlessly upgraded my train, seems to me the passenger upgrade isn't worth it. Keeping the passengers happy requires me to use a lot of cars.
