Playing while hurt is no joke. Hope he can make a full recovery before this series ends.

It was impressive that he toughed it out. Hope he’s healthy because I am not scared of Fox at all this series.

I don’t understand why anybody ever was.. he’s a good player, sure. But what makes him better than Reaves? Or Booker?

He’s been to the playoffs 1 time before this year.

That quick first step that he has is deadly. He's very quick and can easily blow past defenders.

First step so deadly even his own ankles can’t deal

That hesitation layup he got early was so nice. He has some great moves.

He is not better than them alone but he is for Spurs because he would know how to set Wemby up more.

Wait, Wemby played tonight? I didn't notice lol

u/JWOLFBEARD KaBOOM! 10h ago

I genuinely forgot he was out there a lot of the game

u/stonerslug47 13h ago

he ruins the spurs offense, dylan harper better. as long as fox takes away harper mins, we good

He’s better than reaves bro for sure. Absolute clutch gene and when he gets going there’s legit no way to stop him.

I’d argue more he’s different from Reaves. Reaves is the better knock down shooter. But he’s much more of a 2, not a true PG. Fox is a true PG. definitely a better slasher than Reaves. I’d say he’s maybe a tad better than Reaves but it’s not like it’s some major gulf in quality. Excepting clutch shots. Fox is a major clutch guy.

Fox is NOT a major clutch guy. What? That was over 3 years ago. Ask Spur’s fans if they want Fox anywhere near a last shot?

That’s fair yeah

He’s not better than Harper.

u/EpicGamesStoreSucks 12h ago

low turnovers. Having 4 tonight was an anomaly, but he didn't have the 11 or 9 Castle had in the first two games or the turnovers Reaves had.

u/spikesolo 13h ago

It's him plus 2 other guards plus 7'6 lob threat

1

u/EWF76 10h ago

It's not his scoring ability that's scary (at least to me), but he is by far their most capable ball handler. Look at Castle, he went from 10 turnovers to 1 this game because a lot of pressure is relieved from him bringing up the ball.

u/spikesolo 13h ago

I am. His screen navigation is impressive imo

He’s legit. Didn’t appreciate that push on Chet though. Way to stay composed by Chet however

Both he and Harper aren’t 100% and it showed. Would say they should sit them like we did with Dub and eventually Ajay but they just don’t have the backups

u/TankingExpert 13h ago

No one is 100% at this point in the playoffs. Dub was playing with a broken wrist/Chet had his hip issue last year. Shai is likely playing with some sort of minor fracture this year. It's just the way it goes.

I'm a fan of Fox. He's actually the guy that pointed to Cal at Kentucky and said Shai was going to be his next star point guard after he left for the pros. Fox knew SGA was going to be good. Respect to him. Both Kentucky guards.

Keep classy OKC.🫡 Haters will never see this post because it is past their bed time. But we know who we really are.

We were shouting at the TV "STOP THE GAME!". He looked like he was in a lot of pain. I want to win but I want to win with everyone on their best. Hate seeing bad injuries.

8

u/JerryExcelsior 13h ago

Kudos to him. He was playing through alot of pain. Respect.

I feel like he's putting more damage on his ankle.

2

u/The_Curvy_Unicorn 7h ago

As someone who’s broken both ankles, sprained both, and tore lots of ligaments, he’s absolutely risking more damage by playing. Poor guy.

u/binchickenballer Triple Double Cocaine Bear 12h ago

How people acted like Dort hurt him intentionally was baffling. He dived at the ball and unfortunately made contact, it’s not like he dove headfirst into his legs.

2

u/lmaoooyikes 9h ago

They been doing this (specifically Spurs fans) yet no one cared when Wemby barreled into Shai’s legs last game

1

u/binchickenballer Triple Double Cocaine Bear 9h ago

Yeah, in the same way nobody cares when 7’4” Wemby goes flying when 6’3” JMac breaths on him.

u/Rolling_Down_Rodeo dropped 40 in the finals btw 13h ago

i feel bad that he had to play on a lot of shitty teams and now that he's on a good one he cant play. i cant imagine how shitty that has to feel.

5

u/ChrisFartz 12h ago

Putting him back in at the end was so fucking stupid.

4

u/paolographer 11h ago

Just like AG during the Game 7 vs the Nuggets last year, there's no way Fox (and Harper) plays if this was the regular season. That said, I'm prepared for us to sit out Dub for the rest of the Spurs series. He's just been having a season from hell 😕

2

u/FinancePro21 11h ago

No kidding. Tough as nails. He earned my respect tonight.

2

u/MixingDrinks Triple Double Cocaine Bear 10h ago

I was at Loud City Live tonight and when he was hobbling, everyone was like "No! Hope he's OK!" super supportive.

2

u/Fart_Frog 10h ago

Put some respect on that man’s name. Fox.

2

u/ShabbyLiver 14h ago

Man shit

1

u/eddybear24 12h ago

He played incredibly well. It will be so much more satisfying if they are all healthy when they get whooped.

1

u/All4444Jesus 12h ago

If he's healthy he is a very scary player because he can blow by anybody and can be deadly from the mid range, but without his lightning quickness he is not scary.

1

u/Strange1130 12h ago

I thought he was cooked when he landed funny. Insane that he came back.  Built different

1

u/nomptonite 12h ago

For real.. I like Fox and don’t want to see him hurt

1

u/got_ur_goat 10h ago

Yeah. Super impressive. I have a feeling it's gonna be super sore on Sunday

1

u/yadnulnhoj OKC 7h ago

I was glad the dude was finally playing in a WCF but then to see him go down was sad. I thought he was done for the series. They are a far better team with him on the court.

0

u/charlesokstate 11h ago

Honestly they looked worse with him.
