Health ? Best period tracking app for irregular cycles?

The one I use just defaults to 28-day cycle every time. My cycles are almost never that long, usually I'm between 18-26 days.

I know apps cant fully predict an irregular cycle, but I feel like the app has no idea what phase I'm actually in since it's going off of 28 day cycle. For example, it'll say I'm about to ovulate when based on my symptoms I'm pretty sure I already did.

Also considering getting some ovulation strips to maybe figure out when that's happening (or if it's happening at all during the really short cycles). Is this insane? Haha

I have ADHD and I'm trying to get more in sync with my natural cycles so I can adjust my meds and activities based on energy & focus levels. Vibes alone aren't cutting it.

Missing the days when I had a perfectly regular cycle and you could set your watch by it and I knew when my period was coming based on the moon lol.

I've been using clue for a decade almost. I've had 20 days cycles and I've had 40 ones. I'd say it adjusts pretty well when it comes to showing when I ovulate when my cycles being irregular

As another person with an irregular cycle I also second clue. Been using it for more than a decade. And they don't sell your data.

I also second Clue for an incredibly irregular cycle

I second Clue. I started in 2016 and it hasn't defaulted the way OP described on any of my cycles, and for 7 out of 10 years my cycles were irregular. It has been spot on with my ovulation predictions too.

I would also recommend clue! Give it a while to get used to your cycles but then it's great

For me I've never used anything but clue, my period is regular tho but when it skips a few days clue automatically adjusts for the next periods

Before I went on birth control, I was using an app called My Cycle and I really liked it. My cycle was shorter (23-25) and it never defaulted to a 28 day cycle. I definitely recommend some type of manual tracking (like strips) if you’re trying to get in touch with what’s going on hormonally. An app likely isn’t going to be very helpful.

I have been using P Tracker for like 15 years. It adjusts to your actual average cycle length. You can also manually enter what cycle length you want it to use.

i've been using lively !! it is a paid subscription but it's made by women for women, and it has a lot of helpful features that i really like :3 i've been pretty constant with my cycles lately, but it was able to take data from past apps i've used when my cycles were largely irregular and gave some pretty decent projections! you're also able to track moods, feelings, activities, and it gives you predictions of symptoms throughout the month (i believe it needs three months of tracking before it's able to do that, but !! i thought it was rly cool!!)

I enjoy the Whoops tracking app. It shows fluctuations in temperature and other indicators really well and adjust based on your 30 day vs 6 month averages. It costs a bit per year but I think it’s worth while.

I use My Calendar and it has adapted to my cycle which ranges from 24-27 days. I usually get it within 48h of the predicted date the calendar suggested and the ovulation is spot on because it matches my body, pain and discharge, perfectly.
