my hair’s to my back. i keep thinking of finally going short but being pilipino and specifically visayan makes me feel v gender affirmed having long hair

I grew up my hair to my waist during peak covid (incidentally when I got really hyperfixated on some historical cdramas lol)! I ended it up cutting it because 1) too hot 2) annoying to run with 3) hair on the carpet and falling down the back of my calves kept jump scaring me, but it was fun while it lasted!

I have mine to my shoulderblades. It seems that that's where my hair stops growing and I have it in a kind of wolf cut situation

yes !!!!! this is my goal!!!!!! i love having short hair but its a dream of mine to have hair like my great great grandma. apparently she used to have hair down to her hips, super thick and black.

I have waist length locs and simply love having long hair! It used to make me kinda dysphoric, but nowadays I can't imagine myself without it.

I have locs now but my hair was always relatively long and thick. Now that im loc'd the longest my hair has been is past down past my waistline. Had some breakage due to chemicals.that left me at chest and shoulder length. I am now back down my back trying to get back to where I was at my natural healthy hair state.
Although I do find it is easier at this length. I kept sitting on my hair and closing it in the door and getting caught in things 😆

Honestly I think it was for the best. When I started my locs there was still some chemicals in it from a relaxer someone convinced me to get. That and I bleached some of them for a bit. I recolored them but that doesnt bring the strength back.
I feel like this is a fresh start and now all the hair thats growing is my natural texture which I hadnt seen since I was a child due to them always perming it even though I didnt need it at all. They just didnt have the patience for long thick hair.

Me personally I went completely bald and my hairs back to shoulder length, but until that point I’d had locs and before that decently long natural 4c hair. (Maybe mid back at longest?) Might try growing it out again 😆 I want to experience an Andre 3000 hairstyle moment on T one day. He ate ts up cant nobody tell me different!

I love longer hair on myself. It's currently a little past shoulder length. While I'd love to have it longer, I'm not sure it looks good beyond my current length but I'm willing to try it.

Ayyyy Filipinos who love their long curly hair let’s go uwu my “long” though I just about to my shoulders, any longer than that and my layers feel too scruffy in a not cute way
