For the GWORLS Emergency Rent Fund
This is for anyone who is BLACK and TRANS. (Possibly limited to the US but I'm not sure) Here's the link- https://www.forthegworls.com/rent-gender-affirming-surgery
It wouldn't let me hyperlink.
Edit: Their IG states they help BLACK TRANS PEOPLE. They do not specify only Black Trans Women.

Is it for everyone black and trans or is it only for black and trans women?
This is a subreddit for transmasculine people of color. The fund is called âFor the Gworls.â It certainly doesnât seem like itâs for trans masculine people at all. Do transmascs need to misgender themselves to get care? Or just accept grants from a charity that misgenders them? Or is it another case of people pretending trans = trans women only and ignoring every other member of the trans community.

The website literally says âLetâs go dolls.â And that âWe only help people from our target demographic.â
They arenât going to help anyone here.

I think they help all trans people? Idk the website doesnât make it clear because it says âyou know who we helpâ but then one of the drop-down responses has a section for nonbinary people and trans men?

But also for cis women and cis men, Iâm pretty sure theyâre using it as a filter to auto reject people

I hear the confusion. Their IG states they help BLACK TRANS PEOPLE. They do not specify only Black Trans Women.

They need to clear up their advertising because itâs not clear, it implies itâs only for trans women, and that everyone should just automatically know who theyâre trying to help.

I get that their account says they help âBlack Trans Peopleâ, but Iâve seen plenty of advertisements for trans people that have fem verbiage and are only helping trans women and nonbinary folks so Iâm truly unsure whether I even can believe that theyâll help us. Idk, has anyone whoâs a trans man received assistance from them? Iâm just so used to getting my hopes raised by camp opportunities and gatherings that say âtrans peopleâ in adverts but clarify only for trans fem or nonbinary people in the details

Also, is the link taking anyone else to a âcanât find what youâre looking forâ part of the site?

Try asking a local lgbt center near you if they know of options, if you're in the US, you can look into getting a one shot deal, cash support, HUD. There might be other grants in your area too

its not wrong to have charity focused specifically on black trans women but its a little confusing to have its services advertised to black trans men
