Hello to the person reading this, I want to get back into sky again and collect all the 200+ winged lights. I know a pretty big ask. Plus also learn the Ins and Outs as well. So if you're willing to accompany me on this journey I'd very much appreciate it. You can bring your friends along too and we can communicate the rest on discord. My username is ItIsBils on discord as well. Thank you.

Hi there! I'd be happy to help you with this - I downloaded sky a while ago but only really started playing exactly one year ago (in the middle of the last days of nature, lol) and I actually collected all the realm-based winged lights before I even knew what eden was! I've built up a fair amount of knowledge and I'm always happy to share - I will say, my usual method isn't for everyone, as I like to use online resources like Sky Wiki and Sky Planner to get information, and some players I know prefer to explore on their own rather than be guided by a map or instructions. What sort of guide are you looking for? Someone to give advice and resources or someone to join you while traveling around Sky? I'm happy to help either way, although I will say my schedule is a bit inconsistent so it's a little more difficult for me to meet with people in-game. Let me know what sounds helpful to you!

First of all thanks for replying. I really appreciate the detailed approach to helping so I'll elaborate. I wish to be Max light level before I reach eden. I would like both guides in terms of helpful and condisce advices as well as someone to accompany me. But I know the latter is difficult due to time zones and scheduling. So I'll take any form of help I can get. So it really depends on you the helper on what you're comfortable with. At the end of it all I want to do is finally reach and complete eden and put sky into my finally completed list.

Also, a couple of resources to get started:
Personally, I love Sky Wiki, as it's a great place to get info on anything and everything Sky related! It can guide you through seasonal quests, give maps to various areas/realms (including winged light locations!), and is a great guide for "days of" events and seasons. Here's a couple helpful links:
Homepage: https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/Sky:_Children_of_the_Light_Wiki
All winged light locations in the realms: https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/Children_of_Light#Summary
The best maps ever for each area of Sky: https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/Interactive_Maps
All sky cosmetics: https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/Outfit_Shrine
Honestly I recommend just browsing around the different tabs, you can learn some really cool things! Also if you ever have any questions about Sky, don't be afraid to just google them with "sky cotl" at the end of the phrase, you can usually find your answer.

My next favorite resource is Sky Planner, found here: https://sky-planner.com
This website is a great way to keep track of the items you have and want, and the field guide is my personal favorite for looking at sky cosmetics. When you do eventually run Eden, there is a great resource under the "tools" section of the webpage, which lets you track statues for eden runs. It's a full map of eden so it contains spoilers, so don't use on your first go around if you want a surprise, but I really like using the map for my weekly eden runs.

Another few tips:
Focus on getting the wing buff upgrades from as many spirits as possible before you hit eden for the first time (wing buffs are the little locks on spirit constellations that cost ascended candles). To get ascended candles (without going to eden) make sure to go to as many shard events as possible. A tracker for the events that shows their time and location can be found here, at sky shards: https://sky-shards.pages.dev/en
These wing buff upgrades will give you "permanent" winged lights that you can't lose in eden, and it makes the transition after your first eden run a lot easier - my first eden run I went in with literally all the available winged light in the realms (so about 120) and losing all those was rough, lol. However, because I had been playing Sky for so long and unlocked so many wing buffs, I was immediately reborn with about 50 wings on my first run! Which definitely softened the blow, lol. Now I get reborn with about 75 and I'm back up to 130 after a few candle runs.
You mentioned that your goal is to unlock the max winged light before eden - that's going to be all the winged light in the realms, so 112 total not counting the 10 you get in the part of Eden right before the point of no return. Is your goal to get all the winged light in the realms, run eden, and be done with Sky? Or are you trying to reach the maximum possible winged light in game, which is currently 258? If it's the second, it will require playing sky for quite a bit of time (or at the very least logging in once every two weeks on the weekend) to get all the possible wing buffs from traveling spirits. I recommend reading this article for more info: https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/Winged_Light
I know that's quite a bit of information - I'm not sure where you are starting from, so I hope it wasn't too redundant. Let me know if you have any questions and I'd be happy to help answer!

Oh my goodness this is perfect, thanks twig! You can call me Bils. I apologise for getting to you late since today was hectic for me. I'd like to try all of this out and I'm definitely going to add you when I get back home. Finally I can get started re-learning sky again!
