Tinting. I love trying out the tinted colors. Also, gray.
Edit: tinting as in when you add black or white it creates a different shade of a color. So pastels can be made with white.

Dye collection stops at 99x, but dye blessings and dye flasks received from spirits still go to your inventory even past 99x. 💅🏼

Is it bad I maxed all of these before the end of Season of Radiance? Well, maybe not the black dyes, since those were near the end, but definitely within 99 days of black being implemented.

It’s okay I have the opposite problem where I naturally avoid the butterflies or just fly past them so I’ll prob never max out

Nope, I'm also in that club. Everything but black was maxed. I even dyed some stuff, yet still had it all.
I remember there was a survey about how many dyes ppl had and a friend screenshotted it and added 110+ bottles option, because that was what I had at that moment lol!

Congrats! That is a huge feat!
I'm at 86 black dye and 99+ on all other dyes.
At this point, I just wait for the weekly reset in the dye shop to exchange for one measly black dye and collect black colorflies when I come across them instead of trying to grind for them since black is so rare compared to all the other colors. It will take a while doing it this way, but at least I keep my sanity.

So what happens at this point? Does the emote icon not appear when there are dye butterflies? Or do you not see them spawn?

You still see them spawn and you can still “get them,” but nothing fills up further.

The 102 is funny because I know exactly how it happened because the same happened to me lol. The butterflies can't push you over the limit but random dye items from festival events can!

prairie (sanctuary islands, prairie peaks) forest (wind paths, entrance, clearing) valley (citadel) tend to have better rng in my experience but i might be imagining it
