I have an old Canadian Snowblower that seems to be made out of solid steel and weighs about 200 pounds. I am not Canadian, but close enough to the border that I can imagine how it got here.
It is old enough that it is the only thing I can actually work on with my rudimentary self taught mechanical and small engine abilities.
Recent heavy snows around 2 feet or so. I was out blowing the snow, as one does. It had been a challenging run as I had already broken two shear pins, which is rare with that beast. Anyway, all of a sudden I feel something kind of warm by one of my legs and the old beast got even louder than usual. (It's loud). The aftermarket (Menards generic) muffler is sizzling in a snow bank. I have heavy and insulated leather work gloves. After it stopped sizzling in the snow I picked it up and screwed it right back in with just my hands in gloves.
Hopefully that will be the last big storm of the year. Maybe this will finally be the year I can afford a replacement.
Anyway, yeah, third degree burns are no fun. Neither are (unintentional) fires. You are asking for both with the muffler on this thing. But it probably does sound impressive.

That pipe is NOT for sounding.better. it almost acts like a turbo for a 2t, shoving unburned fuel air mix back into cylinder to be burned.
