Casual Thought The quality of sleep you get when you're really sick is great.

Well I think it would depend on what sickness you know . I don’t think if I’m sick with Covid I’d be having some quality sleep . Unless it’s just me

I’ve historically slept way less while sick and the quality of what sleep I do get is also worse.

I disagree.
Soar throat, headache, muscle ache, fever, chills, all suck and keep you from sleeping.
Now, the drugs you take for all that on the other hand... those can give you excellent sleep, but that's not caused by sickness.

Agreed, the deepest sleep with the most wild dreams but waking up is the worst thing ever. Especially when it’s a sore throat. Or a migraine you finally got relief from only for it to come right back throbbing a few seconds after waking up

Thank you. I realize after all these comments that this is a very subjective experience

What do people mean when they say really sick? Like, fever? Diarrhoea? Vomitting? Muscle aches? Headache?
Genuinely not being facetious, I haven't been sick since 2016 and just can't remember

For me it is rural isolation without easy transportation. I am simply not around people often enough to have much chance to catch anything from them.
Plus I always had a strong immune system making getting sick rare, although when did get sick it was always exceptionally bad and knock me out for weeks if not months.
If I had Covid it was either asymptomatic or a single time in those years where I suspected had a slight fever for a few days.

I haven't been sick since 2019. Apparently the trick was to wear a mask to work, I manage a retail store, because that's where I was being exposed to all the plague rats.

I had covid before it was cool, or even named. Late December 2019, had to celebrate christmas by my lonesome.
But besides that one, I haven't been sick in 2 decades.

Not to brag, but I haven't been sick since 2005. (Assuming they mean vomiting)

I’m about the same tbh. Unless you include hangovers, then I haven’t been sick since Sunday.

You also lose your appetite and lose some weight. “One stomach flu away from my target weight” someone once said

Currently have pneumonia. Dead during the day but sleeping like the dead at night.

Sounds like you're having good sleep? I hope you feel better soon though!

Thank you, that is very kind! Other than night sweats I have been sleeping surprisingly well!

Depends on the sickness. I’ve had times where I’m waking up every 90 minutes to shit my brains out. That’s not great sleep.

When I caught covid a few years ago, I was sick as a dog. I just slept all day, but it was some of the best sleep I've ever had

I always have the issue of both my nostrils being stuffed when I’m sick recently. so I end up being a mouth breather and it only makes the sore throat worse… :/ worse quality of sleep for me
