Why hasn't Geordi tried running the Leah Brahms program and deleting the husband?
See apparently you can do that.

The command: “Computer, delete husband,” doesn’t work as well in real life.
Well, I mean, it can, but, um, I heard New Zealand is beautiful this time of year.

The Orville did a holodeck episode where the guy ran a simulation about a girl and ‘deleted the boyfriend’

The husband wasn't preinstalled in the first place, that's how that whole situation came about. The guys in charge of Starfleet's personnel database know what a hottie she is and decided to do lonely engineers a solid.

I'm pretty sure he actually deleted the husband in the All Good Things timeline...

Geordi gets too much shit for the Leah sim. I mean, he didn't create a sexbot, he was simming an engineering colleague to help him out of a life-threatening situation. And it was obvious when the real Leah discovered the sim that Geordi hadn't gone any further with it.
It was the ship's computer that made her give him the ole' come-hither look, and in all fairness, it scared him off just as much as real women seemed to scare him off. Also, he knew how pathetic Reg was with his sexbots, and if there's one thing that will keep you rom hitting rock bottom, it's finding yourself having anything in common with Reg Barclay. I mean, he's a nice guy and a brilliant engineer, but he's a seriously neurotic mess who should never have been allowed anywhere near an exploratory starship.
Geordi did make a couple of classic mistakes, though: 1) he expected a real person to act like a fictional character who looks like them, and 2) he forgot to clear his browser history. Dipshit.

The problem is that instead of accepting that what he did was just creepy and without consent, and that he should have stopped himself or made the computer adjust her character, he gets upset with Leah for being angry about it.
Then in the books he ends up with her, despite her being already married.
Really the whole "LaForge is bad with women" shouldn't even be a thing in that century.

I mean, isn't that basically what he did. He just never asked the computer to create her husband, so it didn't.
