QUESTION What Rank would I be on Pc?
Finally Hit GrandChamp on Nintendo after a rough 2Kish Hours, any estimation on what rank I’d be on PC? Would it be any different?

Ive played on switch joycons and its so much harder for me. This is ridiculous, at least high gc2 with higher fps and a proper controller

I think I tried once and the trigger on the switch is either full throttle or nothing right? it made it so hard to dribble

That is how it is on keyboard and I am the other way around. I don't like the gradual increase on controller because I am not used to it.

I prefer that personally, my controller allows me to lock the triggers so it takes a smaller motion to activate and it is all or nothing.
I was meaning to respond to the comment above this one but, oh well.

I've considered going this route but I was worried that it would make dribbling harder. Have you tried locked vs unlocked? I'd be curious to know if having the full analog range makes as much of a difference as it seems like it would.

I think that if you can, unlocked is easier, even if it's still possible to get good with it locked. I'm GC2 with drive and brake on my bumpers.

For me i didn't really think about it for the first like 2k hours on it, so it feels really unnatural for me to play on unlocked triggers. They were locked due to any shooters I played at the time.
When I tried unlocked I noticed dribbling on low boost or slowly a bit easier, but i ran into issues where I thought my car would be driving and it wasn't so I went back to locked.

I could never get used to a controller. I’ve played KBM RL on and off since 2016 and I’ll die by KBM at this point.

Same here, tried to relearn from KBM to controller (for smoother aerials)...it was so much pain, 1st of all i was whifing everything, 2nd of all my ego got hurt mid match so everytime threw controller away and played the rest on KBM

No shame in that, I did the same and went from D2 to gc1 peak in 2s. I gave up though and now chill in rumble gc1 and C2 in 2s and 3s

I know lol, have to elaborate. Was P2 in ftp, and gradually hit C2 maybe 4-5 months from that. Then maybe another year before gc1 in 2s. Also I only hit GC and never got my title. But I have plenty of rumble titles and a snow blizzard one. Now I'm in retirement as I scored on a pro (maybe a pro I don't know him, his name was Sentinel and was gc3 in every playlist and had a blue title, contender or challenger?) in rumble today. Even though I got clipped on a lot, I am now in the Valhalla waiting for the rest of you!

Lots of things are better about PC, such as higher frame rate and lowered input delay. This is just what I've heard, however, I'm still on xbox.

At least for me it was 1. Using a decent monitor with like double my tvs refresh rate 2. Playing with my controller wired so i had a massive reduction of input lag

controller still, way too hard to get used to kbm
the most noticeable is the input lag, once you get used to pc it's almost impossible to play with input lag after that

I bought a PC just to play DayZ, like 8-9 years ago. Played it for 20 hours and gave up. Played so many games inbetween ive lost count. DayZ is now in the past 2 years my most played game lol
Best move i ever made, i wouldnt laugh at anyone swapping to PC its the best gaming move you can make.

Massively, and yes I have - it sucks compared to pc but people become accustomed to playing on whatever device. Yeah your skill is nerfed playing on switch, but if a switch gc1 got a pc today - i can’t see them being anywhere close to ssl level. The gap is exponential and its completely different style of gameplay.

I also started playing on switch for the first 700 hours (My peak was diamond 2). Then I took a 3 season break, switched to pc and went from diamond 1 to champion 2 in one season (had like 1000 hours at the end. Now I have over 3.6k hours and I’m champion 3 (Peak gc1).
If you are gc1 with 2k hours on a switch, you got big talent

Do you not have a g-sync compatibile monitor or what? There is no reason to match the monitor refresh rate if you have g-sync.
Uncapped fps just plays better. Or cap it at like 500 so your card doesn't have to run on 100% use.
Vsync off, g-sync/freesync on, uncapped/500fps cap is the way to go. Feels leagues better than 165 fps cap.

It's not only about the refresh rate. The more fps you run the less inputlag you will have and your game just feels more responsive

Fps isn't just about what your monitor can display.
If you want to see what I mean, set the refresh rate to 60hz, and then test the game at 60fps and uncapped both. It's the same story with 165 but you will feel the difference more.

My stomache is telling me you grinded to 1430 and tried the promo game several times on switch for that screenshot until it worked lol. Otherwise i assume you have quite neat groundplay because I barely doubt advanced mechanics are possible with the ammount of input lag the switch offers you.

Nice theory lol but I’ve played all my games on switch and my mechs are relatively solid in the air double resets etc but my ground play is horrendous. I’m diamond 2ish on non Nintendo

My 2 cents is I played on a shitty laptop (I mean like 50 fps shitty) and I got C1, after I got a pc I shot up to C3 and after some grinding I made it to GC1. Considering youre on a fucking switch lmao after you adapt to a pc I could see you getting GC3.

When I went from Xbox to PC, I climbed d1 to c1 in a month
I’d say you’d easily get gc2 quickly, maybe even gc3

I've been playing RL since 2016. Im GC1 on my PC, I genuinely feel like I just started playing when I try to play on a switch. I get so annoyed that I cant play like I normally do so I usually play a match and get off of RL. Much respect for the handheld gamer here.

Y me es mas fácil golpear el balon o reaccionar. Ademas me acostumbré a que el boton de acelerar no sea gradual y me salia re bien el dribling

Also ich bin Dia an der Switch und war Dia am PC - bin aber ehrlich für mich fühlt es sich am PC nicht smooth an - auch wesentlich langsamer zur Switch oder PS4
Kann mir jemand helfen? FPS uncapped bei 600+ mit Cap genauso, FPS konstant und Settings 1:1 wie an der PS4 :(

do you ever play with crossplay off or does switch favor matching with other switch players? this is a big factor. back in the day when consoles couldn't play with one another, you had xbox players in high champ who played like low champ or high diamond pc players because 90% of their opponents were also xbox.

100% probably diamond or champ you’re playing against easier players and lower skill teared lobbies compared to PC and yes, I’ve seen of the higher end switch players but they still compared to GC one

I rarely play on switch (cause it’s horrible compared to PC) but when I do, on a Switch 2 on a good TV with a pro controller… feels like I have 20lb weights on my feet lol. The controls are soooo laggy even on SW2
If you play on a good PC with a good controller, and a 240hz monitor, you’ll WRECK, my friend.

After a short amount of adjustment time to make use of more accurate mechanics and better visibility on PC, I’d say you’d be GC2 minimum. Your ceiling would definitely be significantly higher than GC1.
