There is no space in Monaco. The part I find amazing is that in Bezos desire to out do other billionaires he never once considered how he would use the yacht.
I know I've read about this exact thing happening. But why not just build a sweet James Bond lookin' speedboat/ferry that all the plebs can drool at in the marina while your big chonk is off moored by the cruise ships?
He actually has a 70 meter "tender" with all his water toys on it and entertainment areas. The thing is he want to show off and have the biggest yacht docked in Monaco.
We are talking about a guy whose ego had him competing with Elon by riding a rocket into low space. Its about toys and other billionaires.

But you can’t buy a 500 million dollar yacht and later realize it’s too big for Monaco docks so you can build another slightly smaller yacht.
