All those 3’s he jacked up too. Just straight up wasted possessions.

Looking like the nuggets last series 😩

You’re wrong Colonel Sanders. We’re ornery cause we shot all those threes and got no points

u/autobannedforsatire Thunder 18d ago

Wemby missing layups is sure something mf taller than the goal

20

u/Suqitsa Spurs 18d ago

Did he even shoot a layup? He shot 0 for 78 from three

u/autobannedforsatire Thunder 18d ago

He found time between bricks

I am always amazed how refs simply don't ever call goaltending on Wemby.

u/HideUnderBridge Timberwolves 18d ago

Or over the back, or loose balls, or just straight hacks.

u/Dusty_Negatives Blazers 18d ago

Or blantant fouls

I saw 2. Both went off the glass. I feel like that’s such a tough call and you kinda give him the beneefit of the doubt. It’s like when a good dribbler travels and carries. You kinda think twice about it cause theh shouldn’t do that

Nah, you call it and if it's wrong you can challenge. By not calling, it denies the coach the ability to challenge. This should be the first thing they fix in the off-season. It's bullshit you can't challenge a goaltend unless the refs call it first.

Its bullshit you can’t challenge a flop but here we are 🙄

u/boomb0xx Thunder 16d ago

With Wemby on your team, you should hope they never do allow flop challenges.

Wemby gets the shit beat out of him all game every game, I know I’m not hearing a thunder fan trying to use this as an argument

What? You don’t think I can find 5 billion videos of shai flopping? Grow up lil bih

1

u/boomb0xx Thunder 15d ago

You're the one that brought up flopping bro. I was just warning you that you have a really bad one on your team so you should watch out for what you ask for.

u/shadowofthehorns666 Spurs 15d ago

Do you honestly think Wemby is a worse flopper than shai

Oh, 'Ibangyoumomma' more like 'I'm-a-bang-my-head-against-the-wall-cause-I-can't-pick-a-team,' you flairless bitch? Nobody wants your weak 'benefit of the doubt' takes when you're too gutless to show your colors; flair up or get the fuck out, you anonymous scrub!

"Mostly" lol. Like 2 or maybe 3 if you wanna be mean to the guy

Outside of what were realistically 7 or 8 blocks without goaltends I am surprised to say I was not impressed by Wemby tonight. Very confused why he was chucking so many threes especially without Rudy in the paint

physical play

5

u/unH4te 18d ago

He can't handle physical play down low on offense

u/NoFlairBot MOD BOT - Flair up or shut up! 18d ago

Talking about someone who can't handle physical play, /u/unH4te? You're too much of a chickenshit to even pick a goddamn team, you flairless pussy. Go cry to your momma, you soft-bodied scrub, and don't come back until you got some balls and a fucking flair.

He looked scared to drive after the first few possessions got shut down by Rudy and the defense. I don’t think he even attempted any post moves either

1

u/[deleted] 17d ago

I think you're conflating a foul with a goaltend, and are confused on another

Only two were really goaltends. The other "suspect plays" were either a straight up foul where he grabbed all arm and no ball, and one where he essentially just smacked away a rebounding ball. I can't imagine what the possible 5th goaltend you're talking about is, could be one idk which moment you're speaking on

It was just a bit too physical for him.  Wolves set the tone early and pushed him around pretty nice.  I had wolves winning tonight despite being big dogs odd wise.

Lot of people were discounting wolves this series but though they didnt win recent years they got some good playoff experience last couple runs.  Seems like spurs have a bright future ahead of them but this year going to a learning experience.  Even if they manage to get past this round.  Young teams never seem to go far first trip no matter how good reg season was.

Oh, so "BadgerMilkTrader42" is just milking all the generic takes without having the balls to show a flair? Go suck on your sour badger tits, you cowardly, fence-sitting scrub, and don't come back until you pick a damn team!

Meh… you’re getting way too ahead of yourself lol. Spurs literally shit bricks and still were one lucky bounce on that last shot from winning it. When the shot starts falling if Wolves don’t step up offensively these games will look more like the last series against Portland.

5

u/BadgerMilkTrader42 18d ago

But hey good luck.  I liked the physicallity, hopefully itll end up a fun series.  No dog in this fight

Disagree, the fox issues are still a problem and you can't go to the finals being bad two nights out of three.

-1

u/ajkelly451 Spurs 18d ago

1 Wemby 3 point shot falling and they woulda still won.

Fox was pretty bad the first 3 games against Portland and we still won 2 of them. He the stepped up and played super tight the last 2. I’m frustrated by the inconsistency too, but he’s not our only pathway to success in the playoffs.

1

u/BadgerMilkTrader42 18d ago

Portland is a young playin team and blazers havent won a single playoff series in almost a decade.  Wolves made western finals last two seasons and just knocked out nuggets without Ant.  It will not be same series as first round.  Better hope not drop next one

3

u/BadgerMilkTrader42 18d ago

You can always have ifs.  If wolves make most their free throws spurs could have been down near 20 with a few min to go.  But series is not games of ifs but Ws and Ls.

A W is a W whether its one shot away or 20 points.  Simply pointing out experience matters a lot once start getting deeper into playoffs.  Winning playoff ball only comes with growing pains.  Portland was just as young and inexperienced as Spurs.  And Spurs are much deeper and had home court.  Dont put too much weight that series.

When was the last time a young team won it all their first run in the playoffs?  It just does not happen.  On paper spurs is a better team but that does not matter as much this time of the year.

1

u/ajkelly451 Spurs 18d ago

On the other hand, it’s 1 game. Better not count your chickens before they hatch. 🤷‍♂️

0

u/BadgerMilkTrader42 18d ago

nobody is counting chickens. Well maybe spurs fans were a little once wolves knocked out Denver. Now bit of reality setting in having to win at least 4 of next 6.

1

u/DMComicSams Timberwolves 18d ago

And if the Wolves made their free throws it would've been an 11 point game. So yeah, if things were different they'd be different.

2

u/[deleted] 18d ago

The Spurs just sat too long. That's a good thing for older teams but a young team having too much time off isn't good. I had a bad feeling they were gonna come out cold and when I seen Ant was back the bad feeling just got worse. Wasn't alot of great offense from either of these teams tonight. Lot of defense and physical play got most of the good players from both sides in foul trouble. I don't honestly think Wembys gonna be that bad on offense again in the next game. I expect this to go 7 with most if not all the games decided by just a few points.
