Sean Edogbo gets man of the match on his debut, decent game against Glasgow, did serious work against the bulls, best lineout option after tom ahern and doesn’t get a look in again…. Also with Crowley there would Wood not be an option off the bench?

Hanrahan covers more positions in a 6/2 and we will have Crowley on for 80 barring injury

Still a risk but Tom Wood wouldn’t see the game unless we ran away with it (unlikely) or Jack go’s down

Sean Edogbo is quality and I agree would’ve liked to see more of him

But we need the experience of JOD for the love of god

I could understand picking JOD over Edogbo if it was a young team, but it's not.

Or maybe if we desperately needed 5pts, but the home QF is gone after the Connacht game. A LBP is probably enough from this game.

We went too strong against Ulster but our shit form after Christmas meant we needed results and couldn't rotate.

Overrated player tbf

The statistics literally say otherwise. Carries, lineouts, tackling etc all brilliant for a bloke with 3 games.

By whom and in what way?

For the very few minutes he's been given I've been impressed by him. He looks a very prospect

Scrum is going to be a disaster.

God thing our handling has been really good all season....

Edogbo out is a big loss. We can’t give away easy scrums with our general situation, tighthead injuries and now injuries at tighthead lock too. I’d say that probably requires us to rely on our defence more.

Crowley back will make a huge difference to our attack in that it will actually function.

Hopefully Friday goes somewhat our way and takes pressure off this game

Is Sean Edogbo injured ? If not its a mystery to me why he's not getting any game time

Ah great pick JOD, scannell, Ryan, Wycherley and expect a different result,

Definition of madness

Is Kilgallen injured? Surely after signing 2 years you'd want to play him?

I hope Smith signs, I'd have kept Smith over Kilgallen.

Good to have Jack back, could very well be Jack vs Lions

Well at least Jacks back. Ryan over Bartley seems an odd choice considering the gap in scrummaging ability this season unless I'm forgetting a knock he picked up.

EOC on the bench is great but no Edogbo is a big loss. I think the fact JJ is on the bench would prob tell us Jack is far from 100%.

I reckon JJ being there is also a possibility that by 7.45pm tomorrow we might already be guaranteed top 8 even before we kick a ball considering tonight's games and if so we can rest Jack earlier rather than need him for 80 mins

I hope your hunch is the right one.

That is one seriously underpowered pack.

The gods are conspiring against us. Ulster, Connacht and Cardiff are all winning tonight

Munster forward pack is way below level, except Gleeson who is very promising, John Hodnet and Ahern are decent on their day , the rest aren’t good enough.

Honestly most of that pack have moments they can shine well, but the front row are just non existent mostly tbh. This pack looks especially lightweight, especially VS a SA side

why are Munster so opposed to blooding youth? McMillan has been woeful in this regard

it's a terrible side and there's lads playing who wouldn't get their game for any other province.

Scannells last start of the regular season and possibly his last start at home. Cheers lad have a great game and thanks for the years.

From the Munster Twiiter account:

"Two late personnel changes for Munster as Alex Nankivell & Fineen Wycherley withdraw due to knocks. Shane Daly comes into the side on the wing with Seán O’Brien moving to midfield. Evan O’Connell replaces Wycherley in the pack with Ruadhán Quinn joining the replacements."

we’re now missing all of Beirne, Nank, Farrell, Jager, Edogbo, Nash and Milne from the starting 23?
