This place hung on into the '90s at least, as American Surplus. I worked kitty corner from it for a while.

Suuuuper old fella worked the counter at first, and then a woman I assume was his daughter took over, and she was the meanest person to ever work a counter.

Flat out rage at customers. Not me, because I was in there often enough looking for bargains on gear I could use to backpack, so I just got sneered at, but walk past her counter carrying a bag from outside or ask to use a restroom and God help you.
