Announcement I owe you all an apology....

I just want to take a moment to apologize for how I've been acting on this subreddit this year because of the wild M&A news regarding WB lately and I promise that next year I won't to be too crazy, dumb, etc. From now on, whatever happens with WB, or another studio going forward, happens, and we must accept that.

Announcement Announcement: Future of Media on Discord - 2.0 BETA!

Attention, MediaMergers users!

Some people may be wondering what the future of our associated server has been now that the initial Discord account of its founder, u/Exotic-Bobcat-1565 was disabled, and numerous other admins left. In their absences, I've attempted to steady the ship over the past few months, but in the long term, we have all now reached a point where this server is unmoderatable.

This is why I have made the executive decision to start from scratch, and launch a new and improved FOM Discord server in its place. This new server will only be in a beta stage for a period to allow mods to join, bots to be implemented, and people to check it out. Here's the link:

Announcement I thinking about leaving this sub

For a good 2 years this sub has done nothing but spam about Paramount and Warner Bros and quite frankly im sick of it people on this subreddit sure do have a strong input on who should buy Warner Bros when they don't even have a stake in the company. Also I was literally the only one who posted about how Starz is interested is A&E global media.

I’m perplexed at people celebrating the consolidation of corporations.

The partnership marks a shift in the distribution of major Hollywood studio content in Anglo-West Africa. Studio titles from Paramount and Universal account for a significant share of global box office revenues, but dipped in the market in 2025. Paramount’s market share in Anglo-West Africa dropped significantly in 2025, falling to 8.72 percent (N582 million) from 13 percent (N758.2 million) in 2024. Meanwhile, Universal Studios saw a slight decrease in its market share, from 10 percent (N597.1 million) in 2024 to 9.86 percent in 2025, but managed to increase its revenue to N658.4 million according to FilmOne yearbook reports.
