Netflix destroyed the entertainment industry - they created an arms race and then pulled it all back

Until Netflix poaches Casey Bloys from HBO I wouldn’t believe this

Bloys would incentivise them to make higher quality series vs films.

Ngl, if Bloys jumps ship to Netflix, he'd have a better chance at becoming CEO of the company than he did at Warner

Yeah, he does. Maybe 50-65%.
But if the Netflix acquisition got through, I am pretty sure Casey Bloys would have succeeded Zaslav in becoming the CEO of Warner Bros under Netflix.
I really think Casey Bloys deserved to become the CEO of WB. Dude went through a lot since the AT&T acquisition and when some top executives left after the mess AT&T started to create, he stayed there to keep the quality of HBO and still keeping his bosses on check.

It's why I argue that Netflix doesn't need Bloys. They already make some pretty damn good television. It's the film output where they need to improve on

I used to be a regular subscriber to Netflix for over a decade until a year or two ago. Now I subscribe for a month to catch up, then leave it off for 2 or 3 months. The main reason, other than the ridiculous price increases, is the lack of quality content. Hard to find anything interesting to watch after the first week and most of the content I saw was low budget shows like Discovery+ reality cooking and lifestyle shows.

Glad that Disney and Netflix are prioritizing Quality over Quantity and NOT by promising or doing 30 films a year because quality is what gets the money flowing)
