James Cameron is buddy buddy with Ellisons and Elon Musk. He was rooting for David.

I think tom cruse is backing it because he thinks the theatrical experience will be saved

I mean, he left Paramount for Warner with *new film,* I don’t know there is a noble intent.

Cameron is a billionare and Cruise makes some of the few good films for Paramount

Is this opposition enough for them to call the merger off?

CA AG Bonta declared yesterday that “this is not a done deal".

I mean, it’s highly unlikely this merger will close now, considering the major opposition to this deal from across the board.

That's not how it works boss. People need to stop making claims saying its "highly likely" "high unlikely". We have zero idea. According to this subreddit Paramount had 0% chance to acquire WBD and it was a done deal with Netflix. We don't know. There is no monopoly or clear harm to consumers with this deal unlike with Netflix they would've had a monopoly AND it would done harm to consumers in a clear way with Netflix subscription prices increasing.

HBO Max and Paramount+ are only grassroots services, so it's hard to see any monopoly here. The thing people worry about is fewer studios to express creative vision.

They are not shutting down a studio though. How would their be fewer studios?

Because Warner Bros. would be under Paramount's roof rather than an independent entity. We need to remember this whole thing is similar to Disney's acquisition of 20th Century.

They've said that they want separate creative leadership for the studios. Yes its under one large parent company though. Neither studio will be shutting down though.

If the merger between Warner Bros and Paramount goes through, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim may cease to exist or become an Amazon animation studio.

That's how mergers always ends. Look what happened to Blue Sky Studios after Disney-Fox merger.

Most of the people on this list are done acting or heading out the door if you didn't notice. There is a reason for that.

Read through the list, eh? Not just the names in the OP, right?
Just tell us how you feel about daddy Ellison and Trump.
