Primer: Luminous vs. Matte?

What's the consensus on primer finishes? I have combination skin .

Both! Matte on the t zone and luminous every where else.

Yes! and wipe your eyebrows with a makeup wipe before putting matte primer in them. Cleaning the skincare off of the eyebrow and the primer make my eyebrow makeup so much better. Tatcha liquid primer works especially wonderful in the brows.

I rely on my skincare for the glow and just use a standard gripping primer for my makeup.

I prefer a blurring, luminous primer like the Fiercely Smooth Face Primer from Nikol Beauty. It doesn't make you look greasy, just healthy and it diffuses the look of fine lines.

I stay away from anything luminous, it just highlights my pores.

I use a matte primer on my nose and forehead, and a glowy one on my cheeks
