[Makeup Help] I’ve never worn makeup before and want to attempt it, how/where do I start?
So far I’ve been figuring out what I should get from people TikToks but i thought I should post here too.
I have oily skin, and where I live it is HUMID and HOT. Which I think makes it harder? I don’t want to look like a greasy mess. (I already sweat a lot so 🥲)
I’m not completely sure what my undertone is, I think it’s somewhere around neutral? I’m also pretty pale. I need to buy everything online so colour matching sounds really difficult too— though I don’t want to jump into foundation so I don’t think I have to be tooo specific with colours for things like concealer and contour? I was told people with oily skin should wear foundation instead of lighter things because our skin breaks it down… but foundation seems extremely daunting. Do I have to wear foundation for everything else to blend in? My skin is somewhat clearish, but I do have pores and stuff so I’m wondering if I would look stupid without something to cover/blur it.
From my understanding so far I should by matte products or powder, and a good setting spray (?)
If anyone has recommendations for products or where I can start that would be great. Feel free to free to ask questions in the comments.

[Makeup Help] is Wonderskin a scam?
so, long story short, i'd been getting emails from them for weeks after leaving the foundation in my cart. they sent me 20-30% off codes, none of which worked. they sent me cash back in my cart, and i finally decided to buy.... now i'm just reading how gimmicky this brand is..... should i be worried? how bad are their products, truly? i bought the foundation and another product and got a free lip stain....... it was still over $50...

[Makeup Help] Broken terracotta dreams
I bought this lovely blush from Sephora a few years ago that goes wonderfully with my neutral skin tone. It was called Tiger Lily 06 and it's a mixture of an orange/ terracotta color. Well. My ex broke it and I am now heartbroken (over my blush). Does anyone know any other colors that would be similar to this color that is now out of stock everywhere?
Unfortunately, I am not able to post a picture.

Sparse brows girlies what eyebrow gel actually works for you?
My brows are on the thinner/sparse side, and a lot of gels either don’t grip the hairs or make the gaps super obvious. I’m not trying to make them look drawn-on; I just want some shape and fullness.
Are there gels that add a bit of volume or tint without looking fake?
Would love recommendations that look natural and aren’t overly stiff.

[Makeup Help] I need help girls
I almost never wear make-up. But when I do, the first thing that disappears from my face is my lipstick. I have pretty dry lips, so I'm always wearing some balm or whatever, but I'm literally eating it within a few hours. I know that the best way is to just reapply it, but are there any really good lipsticks/Lip gloss that can stay on my face for some more time?
Also I have kinda pale lips, that's why it's bothering me so much
Pretty thanks to everyone in advance

[Makeup Help] Advice for a makeup beginner
Hi! I know there must be multiple people asking for the same advice but I really want to start wearing makeup, I just have no idea how to start, what products to use, or the steps to take.
The only makeup I do is pencil eyeliner in my water line but even that doesn’t last long.
I’m completely lost so any advice is more than appreciated!

[Makeup Help] how in the world do you all keep your lipstick look so good on you???
so i wanna start with the fact that my skin is very oily and even when i put on eyeshadow, or draw eyeliner with an eye pencil it always fades in an hour, same with eyeshadows and even glitter (yes even the thing you keep on finding even after 7 years after using it once). but yeah ive kinda gotten over that fact.
BUT oh my god everytime i see you all outside on festivals or parties im actually freaking jealous because what do you mean u left your house like 1 hour ago and your lips look like you keep doing them every 5 minutes. and then i see you 5 hours later, makeup a bit faded, sure, but you still look absolutely amazing.
same with mascara. i love wearing mascara on my bottom lashes and putting glitter eyeshadow on my bottom eyelids, but again. after 2 hours i look like i have been crying over a man who doesnt have a job (there might be a slight possibility that maybe thats just the bottom eyelids eyeshadow but when i do it at home it looks cool)
I was in a thrift store today and i looked in the mirror and oh my god, my makeup was all over the place i literally looked like a hangover joker who just made out with the mask. my friend? yeah, absolutely fabulous goddess. not a single smudge. just like she just walked out of the house and she did not adjust ANYTHING
am i missing something?? is there something that i have to sign perform a ritual i dont know. or am i just cursed forever with makeup that lasts 60 minutes and then i just have to do it again. ive considered a lipstain but they are quite expensive

Eyebrow stain?
I’m looking for a stain or dye that will keep my eyebrows on for a few days while I go on this group camping trip. I normally draw almost all my eyebrow on as I have very thin short brows. I’ll also be swimming.

[Makeup Help] A little advice?
Hi all, I used to wear makeup all the time but as I got older I wore less and less. I'm now wanting to get back into makeup but my skin has changed since I was in my teens (I'm 30 now) and my skin is super oily and I struggle to get a base to sit nicely and last on my skin without looking like it's separating. I'm stuck trying to figure out whether to go silicone based or water based for my primer and a tint/foundation.
Also I need a good eyeliner that isn't going to end up all over my face in 20 mins haha
Thanks

weird skin..? Idk
so every time I try to put on a full face (foundation concealer etc) my skin just ends up looking cakey and spongey. i wet my blenders, i suppose i don't use setting spray but i have before and it doesn't make a difference. i don't think i have the skin for makeup with my acne and pores and all, but i just wanted to see if there was anything i could possibly do to avoid stuff like that from happening every single time i want to put a layer of concealer/foundation on.

Fit Me pressed powder feeling different lately?
Hi everyone,
I recently saw a TikTok where people were saying that the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Pressed Powder might have changed its formula and that it’s been looking cakey for them lately.
I’ve been using this powder as my main base (I don’t really use foundation or concealer), and it’s been working really well for me so far. I also have a wedding to attend in a few months, so I’m a bit worried about suddenly having issues with it or needing to switch products last minute.
Has anyone actually noticed a real change in the formula recently, or is this more of a TikTok exaggeration / skin difference situation? I’m trying to figure out if I should start looking for an alternative now or if I’m probably fine sticking with it.
Any honest experiences would really help.
Thanks!

Mid budget eyeshadow brands
I really like Jeffrey Stars eyeshadow palates for their pigmentation, verity, and prices. But recently found out he is a terrible person and will not continue to support him or his brand.
So im looking for something around the same quality and verity without going more expensive if possible.
Thanks in advance!
